Let's say for a second, you are Julio Teheran and are starting for the Braves today. First time Stanton is up, do you throw one high and tight? I'm not suggesting to hit him but maybe throw him a little chin music just to see if he's fully recovered, mentally, from what happened last year.
Or, do you repeatedly go down and away thinking that he's not going to be 100% ready, mentally, to dive in on the plate and will be trying to stay back making it harder for him to hit you?
I could see a legit case for either approach.
