Sorry couldn’t resist. I Had to laugh. :)

I’m going to give him and or his team the benefit of the doubt and believe they truly thought it was a noose and not a hand pull.

Hopefully in the future he and the people on his team won’t be so quick to jump to conclusions. It’s a lesson for us all.

If anything we learned that all of NASCAR and America has his back and want him to be successful. Most people are good in this country. I truly believe that.

WE are. It's those that can't believe they can be successful individually within a society where individuals are the most successful and find the necessity to bring others down, because they freaking suck at life. That's easily understood.

When people choose to see everything through the prism of race and racism, then everything can be turned into race and racism. That should be among the topics being discussed right now. People want this country to be the horrible, awful racist place their narrative suggests it is. And in an effort to achieve that, they view everything through that prism and it makes life just miserable for everyone. It's such a load of crap and one can only wonder how long it will be until people start saying what's needed and that's just a statement that we can't work on real problems when new ones keep getting conjured up in an effort to forward a narrative.

Racism isnt a narrative. I'm sorry hearing that makes life miserable for you.

You realize bubba Wallace wasn't even present? Nor was it his personal garage but a stall at the track. Idiotic take. You would think people would be satisfied to hear the FBI determine it was nothing.

Been years since I’ve watched a race - I assume NASCAR is now filled with a bunch of soy boy drivers, but seems like a good ole boy like Richard Petty would have have stepped in said, “Show me what you found in the garage? That it? Goddammit, boys, y’all ain’t never seen a garage door pull rope?”

I'm choosing to take it as an honest mistake that got blown way out of proportion, and no matter what it was cool to see everyone support him in the aftermath. If there was any intent to blow this up as a stunt or for publicity, then you have to think those involved are a bit embarrassed.

The media wrong again without any investigation? What a shock.
I'm sure the retractions will be a lot less than the hysteria surrounding teethe past few days. This hoax does not fit the narrative.
What retraction do any media outlets need to make? That’s not how the media works.

Nascar said a noose was found in the garage - the media is just reporting what was given to them by Nascar. Just as the media, now, is reporting that that statement from Nascar was incorrect.

Nascar needs to make a retraction or statement on this, and the media will report on it.

You are correct saying racism isn’t a narrative, but there are PLENTY of people who make everything about it when the majority of stuff isn’t racial at all.

Situations like this make people skeptical of real issues. Kind of like the boy who cried wolf. There are far too many of these jump to conclusion type deals. People need to take a deep breath, investigate issues, and if they are legit make a massive deal about it. A lot of shoot first aim second stuff.

No doubt. On page d13.

If you knew anyone who was black in college, ask them what it was like to go to the bars downtown. If you know anyone who is black who plays golf, how they feel going to clubhouses. There isnt maybe as much overt racism like a noose or calling someone the n word to their face, but there is definitely a difference in how people are treated based on the color of their skin. It's hard for some white people to believe because we never see it or experience it. Theres no smoking gun like a noose.

Im not implying you dont believe there is racism btw.

Kinda like the noose's found in a park that black Americans put up to work out on.

I’m talking more of instances like this. National stories that get blown out of proportion. Of course there is racism. I would say there is a lot more prejudice than racism though. What you just described falls under the prejudice category IMO. Prejudice is natural and everyone has it in some form. Racism is taught and is less prevalent IMO.

Correct, however, systemic racism is a narrative. Bringing racism into all things, everyday, is a narrative.

I want to hit on one specific example that I've heard a lot recently...that white people will never know what it's like to go into a store, and feel that everyone is suspicious and watching you like a hawk because they think you're going to steal something. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. First of all, as an early teenager, I had long hair, I wore baggy clothes, and I took my skateboard almost everywhere. I know exactly what it feels like to be treated like a suspect, a white kid with all the white privilege in the world, considered guilty until proven innocent. Can you baleedat? But it has nothing to do with skin color, it's about your overall appearance.

There is definitely racism in the world, and there's even a little bit of racism in this country, but when something bad happens to a black person, 9 times out of 10, black had nothing to do with it.

The overall appearance is black. That's what only some people see and treat them unfairly based on that. All you had to do was get a haircut and wear more form fitting clothes. A black person cant change their skin.

What you are describing is very rare. Most of the time, decent looking people are treated decently, period. Yes, there are exceptions, but again, those are rare.

Nice spin. Call it for what it was.... a drive by media debacle that could have been cleared up in probably 1 hour. It fit the narrative so the media ran with it

Like always, 99% of people are good people. The media polarizes the 1% in order to keep dividing us.

No, the media goes straight for the story that fits most of their narrative. If you think the media is fair why did most of the MSM
blow this story completely out of proportion all day Sunday, but didn't report the shootings at CHOP over the weekend at that "peaceful protest"that those good people in Seattle are at on all that property acquired by theft.
If you don't think they are corrupt, why do you think all this theft and destruction is being hailed as peaceful ?

I’ve quit watching the news, but would be interested in knowing if there were massive outrage reports that this was all bogus. Just interested if the follow up is as thorough as the first report chaos.

Actually my low IQ friend the team member who discovered the rope went straight to NASCAR, who in turn notified the FBI on the premises. Matter of fact the President of NASCAR contacted Wallace AFTER the fact but play feel free to create the white victim narrative brought on by liberals and the media

So was it NASCAR or Wallace that went on the view? Maybe, just maybe he should have said wait to the investigation is over before he went on national tv calling people simple minded.

Ahhhh did he hurt your little feelings? Hilarious

Not yet, but just you wait, they always come after you at some point. You've just been lucky to agree with everything so far.
I’ll make sure everyone knows this is sarcasm before I start.

We should just wage war against the people against the movement. Wait for the left to go too far left then wage war taking out all them.

Then we all live happily ever after

You mean like this?

I agree with the poster who said we are calling prejudice racism in many many cases. Racism is the belief that one is inferior to another based on their race. That’s not what I’ve heard described 9/10 times. And FTR, I believe prejudice against blacks is alive and well.

Sad that this has even one like. I bet you only think All Lives Matter when the black community says that Black Lives Matter
