I agree with johnhugh. Systemic racism is alive in the USA. As a white person working in an 78 % black county I am experiencing this daily, particularly right now. I just try to treat people the way I would like to be treated. In Orangeburg county the 100% black county and city councils have literally told citizens disagreeing with their views to " sit down and shut up, It's our turn now". I recently sat in a council meeting where Willie B Owens said that the 200 business owners present were against a new county tax because most were white and the council was black. Been reported in the newspaper and like many places many are terrified to stand up and say" That's wrong"
That is a little odd that nobody on the team knew what it was - but who knows. Maybe only one of them saw it, panicked, and flipped out.

There is no systemic or institutional racism in America. One could argue the contrary because of affirmative action. If you want to give me poverty excuse, well life is about choices. If most people's goal is to be middle class or at very least pull from poverty into middle class, then one could argue that black kids have an easier path to the middle class than white kids because of affirmative action because if college is key to middle class then it's easier to get into and have less student loans if you're not white.
The real problem in the black community is fatherless homes. At the Civil rights movement in the 1960s the single mother rate was in the 20%s but now I belive is 76%.

I do have a serious question, maybe it has already been addressed ITT, I don’t know. But IF Black Lives really Matter then why does the organization support abortion? The abortion rate in the black community is one of the highest, if not the highest in the Country. IF Black Lives really Matter why isn’t this organization in the streets of Chicago everyday advocating for the violence on young black men to stop. There is so much wrong with the BLM organization!!!
