Saw in paper today that Volvo is sponsoring the Family Circle tennis tourney on Daniel Island, but the Commerce Dept is trying to raise money from other businesses to pay for the Volvo sponsorship? WTF? It's not enough to give them property tax relief, etc (which I'm fine with), but then we are supposed to subsidize their corporate sponsorships too? What am I missing here?
