1. Stadium and campus area is right downtown to the side of the freeway. Think Ga Tech location.
2. Tailgating is minimal due to the location. Most people park .5 to 1.0 mile away (parking garages, downtown streets, etc) and walk to the stadium.
3. A lot of food, drink and alcohol vendors beside the stadium for those on the way to the stadium.
4. Bands/private event areas set up closer to the stadium for “tailgating”
5. Same chairbacks in the stadium that Clemson uses. The new ones from this year.
6. Cashless stadium (like most other venues). Clemson needs to go this route to improve efficiency.
7. Alcohol sales - no issues.
Self serve kiosks throughout the stadium. Cans of Bud Light, Ultra, Modelo, Pacifico, Corona Premiere, and IPA. Grab what you want from the coolers, place on an area that scans them, pay by card and done.
8. Large water coolers (think 50 gal size) with 5 dispensers around it for people to dispense water at no charge. Water also sold in plastic bottles.
9. In game scoreboard, music, atmosphere WAY better than Clemson. Music playing all the time during timeouts to keep fans engaged. No recognition on the field for student of the game, professor of the game, Pickens county resident of the year, etc. all the stuff Clemson does that makes the timeouts feel long and gets the fans disinterested.
They did recognize a Mikitary person of the game and the crew that did the flyover but that was it.
10. During 2 of the timeouts, they had a Mariachi band play and they were great. Showed them on the big board.
11. Scoreboard did not have advertisements showing all the time. Mostly had a continuous reel of players and their bios/instagram on the side of the board with football graphics or fan pictures that were posted or other fan type games in the middle.
12. They used Orange smoke at their entrance like we did this year. Must be the same vendor - it was the same color of Orange.
13. Overall we had a great experience. One of the best settings I have attended. Would not want to go to a game in September there. Has to be hot as hell in the stadium during that time.
