So I've watched both of them play recently against the same team. It's going to be a really interesting game.
Both have really good QBs. Clary is more of a pure QB but SP's has a great arm. He's not a threat to run at all. Doesn't even move around in the pocket. But throws a perfect ball. I'd give the slight edge to Daniel on WRs. Running back - Pickett-Hicks at South Pointe by a mile. Kid is small but the best I saw all year. Just relentless. Both have a good secondary. Up front on both sides I think South Pointe has a decided edge. They're huge.
Overall if coaching were equal I'd predict something like SP 35 Daniel 24. But the coaching is doesn't appear equal to me at all. Daniel is a lot better coached. SP is very undisciplined and lose their cool constantly.
I think with South Pointe's exceptional talent vs Daniel's good talent - along with the coaching edge of Daniel I'll go with the Lions in a barn-burner. Coaching matters.
Edit - one other thing - I think the crowd could make a bit of a difference too. Daniel had a lively crowd when we were there. SP didn't have 250 at a home playoff game.
