Space X/NASA Mission Backon 3/14

No genius but I understand the history and the technology.

What are you afraid of? That we're going to fall behi
nd in technology?
Once again, your analytical skills are non-existent. Identifying you as a genius because you predict a loss of life that has happened each and every time a new and somewhat dangerous and unknown frontier is opened up for exploration apparently means I'm afraid of something such as we're going to fall behind in technology.

No way someone is this dumb to make that kind of jump in logic. Are you so desperate to engage someone in debate that you must invent their side of the argument? How badly do you need to verbally own a conservative so as to proverbially slap a band aid on your lack of self-esteem?

I'm not debating. I'm bitch slapping anyone who thinks we should or will go to Mars. It's insanity.

Of course your side pretends to be fiscally responsible. I've known that is not true since my youth.

Are you afraid of the U.S. falling behind in technology? Just say yes or no. I have seen the comments on other political boards that show, yes, many people are afraid of falling behind in technology without a space exploration program.

You're a joke and you haven't slapped anyone. I haven't expressed an opinion on Mars (nor do I have one because its just talk at this point), but you're acting like I have because you're an insecure chode. Lmao at your desperate need for human interaction. Gay version of an incel iyam.

Let's start with the basics. Space exploration is NOT fiscally responsible.

I would argue your premise is incorrect.

The return on investment into space is astronomical. There are many byproducts of the money invested into space. Wonder what the return has been on having small cameras in iphones? I'm not even sure it's possible to calculate the impact that has had on society.

CMOS Image Sensors
Invented by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory scientist Eric Fossum in the 1990s, CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) image sensors were created to miniaturize cameras for interplanetary missions. The goal was to reduce power consumption and size while improving image quality—specific to space needs. This technology now powers smartphone cameras and digital imaging worldwide, but it was a direct byproduct of space exploration.

What make you think that people like me have not heard this argument many times before? This may have been true decades ago but now the free market (and defense R&D and NIH R&D) account for most the truly useful innovation. Here are some facts. U.S. federal spending for space exploration about $20 billion/year. U.S. gross domestic spending is about $25 trillion/year. World GDP is between $75-100 trillion/year. That is the space for much more innovation for the demand of citizens worldwide. And if innovation from NASA has been so useful, why haven't we even come close to a manned Mars mission? We last walked on the moon in 1972.

FWIW, what innovation do you think mankind? Nobody who supports space exploration, who I ask this question, can answer this.
