SpaceX Polaris Dawn Mission - Highest in 50 Years

Pretty cool. SpaceX sent Dragon to 1400Km and its higher than anything has been in 50 years.

Pretty amazing that they have to dodge thousands of satellites and space debris.

The new space suits are pretty cool too.

Did i hear they are doing an untethered space walk? Or was it tethered? Either way pretty cool

It is tethered. The interesting parts are:

1.) 1st private space walk. Everything else has been government.

2. There's no airlock on the ship. So when they do the spacewalk, EVERYONE is in their pressure suits and the entire ship is open to space.

Pretty cool, but not as exciting as I thought it would be. Wish they would have gone out and started doing some flips etc. maybe next time

I remember watching the space shuttle launch in 2nd grade. No national pride anymore. Thanks Obama.
