After all the mass deportations have resulted in losses of agricultural workers. Make child labor great again! Bring slavery back to pick the crops! So we either bring child labor back, indentured servitude, food prices skyrocket, or the availability of food drops significantly. Which would you prefer you deranged Trumpers? MAGA fever is a mental disorder, plain and simple.

Imagine voting for a failed businessman cheating billionaire who promised to bring down food prices and then less than 2 months in does things to make food costs higher. Now you’re stuck in either admitting you were wrong or supporting slave labor for children.

I would be so embarrassed if I was a Trump supporter

Proof? Doesn’t exist because it didn’t happen. But Trump did speak fondly of his times with Jeffrey Epstein. Every accusation from MAGA is a confession, keep up.
Is that so? You need to get out in the world bro.

What are you babbling on about? I know you leftists love to keep blacks on the democrat plantation, but let’s avoid suggesting a return to slavery.

This isn’t a difficult concept. We can’t have unregulated illegal workers with no control. We can have documented migrant workers to fill the agricultural demand. We need to make that shift.

I’ve been clear in that I’m okay if some of these things raise prices. Documenting workers, more regulation on food supply, etc. These are changes that need to happen.

The more you post the more I’m sure you were full of shit when you said you couldn’t/wouldn’t vote for Trump

Florida gop lawmakers want to replicate, and expand, what Arkansas did and loosen child labor laws.

I don’t know much about those laws, but I’m curious what the goal or use case is.

The laws shouldn’t really matter though. These are kids <18 living at home. It’s the parents job to regulate their work schedule.

So many issues go away if we don’t have to legislate around shitty parents.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but are you saying you think if parents want their 15 year old to work 40hr weeks and work the night shift at the Tyson plant they should be able to? Sacrificing the education of our children for lower costs is certainly a choice.

I’m saying that if we didn’t have to worry about legislating around shitty parents - your example included - the laws wouldn’t be an issue.

But we do need protections because there are a bunch of shitty parents out there.

I’m genuinely curious about the use case for this expanded law because I don’t think it’s your example. But I’m not sure what they’re trying to achieve.

Well yeah in a perfect world or utopia we wouldn’t need these arbitrary laws, but unfortunately we live in a world rife with greed and irresponsibility so unfortunately we do need them.

You can read up on some of the proposals that the Florida GOP has put forward about it. I’d ignore articles and go straight to the source material

“Blacks”. Fyi it’s 2025, not 1965. Anyway, MAGA wants kids and prisoners on plantations. MAGA wants laws that disproportionately affect African Americans so they can be imprisoned at a higher rate. Then they end up on the farms again. It’s slavery with extra steps. Storm Thurmond would be proud.

You would be ok with prices going up? Yet inflation and rising prices were the end of the world when Biden was in office. Now that Trump is in office it’s “well if that’s what it takes to help the economy it’s fine”. The lack of self awareness is commendable

I very much acknowledge I’m in the minority with being okay if prices go up. The problem with inflation under Biden is that we didn’t get anything in exchange for higher prices. If we can fix the illegal immigrant issue and improve the quality of our food supply, then we’re getting something in exchange for higher short term prices that will benefit us long term.

This coming from the guys whose self professed hero Joe Biden lost over 300K undocumented immigrant children to who knows where.

Food prices might come down faster if you didn't feed the trolls so much.

Another lovely example of the MAGA thought process. Point out a stupid GOP policy - immediately start deflecting and blaming Biden instead of addressing the issue.

It's what children do.

This would really hurt if I gave a shit what some redneck from the upstate thinks about me. Bragging about letting children get born when your policies have lead to the US having the 55th ranked infant mortality rate is impressive.

That's because you kill them before they get here. It does hurt you because you commented on it. If it didn't you would have just let it go.

My reply was directed at your "GFY f***it" comment, not the "children being killed" idiocy that you spouted.
I typed no such thing. GFY #$%^&it. Anything beyond that was up to your interpretation.

And you do support kids being killed whether you like it or not. You vote for kids being killed before they are ever born. You vote for illegal immigrants. You vote for tranny shows in elementary schools. You vote for gun control, when I have one within arms reach, and not a single person has died or been wounded because of it (it hasn't even raised itself up to point itself at anyone). You vote for all these things.

Everything you believe in is a lie.

Sucks to be you!

You support kids being murdered in their classrooms, pathological lying, pardoning cop beaters, rapist politicians and coddling murderous dictators.
