Watching what Ohio State is going through right now is a good glimpse into what a Herculean task is going to be to stay on top of college football these days. They have mass defections all over the place to the NFL and other teams are tampering with their roster and offering absurd sums to players. I don't see how any team is going to solve the mystery of how to compete annually. The NFL stuff will happen to anyone at any time but the addition of the tampering with the roster is the real variable here. And the thing that's really lame about it is people who are Ohio State fans have not even had a chance to enjoy their championship much before they have to watch and worry about the disassembly of the team they had coming back.
I don't see how this can be great for things long-term. Sure we will have more teams win now most likely. But part of the fun is getting to the top and trying to stay on top. With all this tampering it is going to become very difficult to do that.
