Signed on a new vehicle this weekend. Pretty excited about it. Picking it up Friday.

Have been thinking about it for a while anyway, and figured I'd go ahead and get it just in case prices go up in the next few months due to the tariffs.

Smart, I bought a new car last September or I would have done the same.

Still seems like a lot of uncertainty. Just my gut feels like we have had an earthquake and waiting on the tsunami, but clueless about how this will play out over time

I agree with you.

Feeling very bearish right here. Think we may spike down in the next few days.

Although the administration may be holding the trade deals in their pocket until the market freaks out a little bit. Who knows.

Long-term I am confident everything will be OK but the next few months could be rocky until we get things with China straightened out.

I believe current market action is an initial phase of a reaction off of seller exhaustion that will continue to the area between NDX 2000 to 2100 which is an area where more selling comes in with weakening buying and a probable trading range with volatility off of rate expectations and gro political issues. The 3 rd and 4th quarters seem to be really important for earnings and outlooks

Hard not to see this playout

Just imho
So far, this is still holding on daily close.

RIVN announcing after the closet today. Fat Piggy Global trading is short the sh!t out of it from the $13.50 level expecting very poor results. Stopped out with some 16.5 calls if i am wrong

They have
1) No growth
2) Not profit
3) No cash flow.

They had the largest revenue decrease since covid in 2020. Growth went negative for the first time since Covid.

They sold 57,000 vehicles less than the previous quarter in their highest margin segment. Many of these cars were sold to the government, which is in a cost reduction mode.

Tariffs may explain some of it but not all of it.

The F-150 is still the top selling vehicle.

The Ford F-Series is the most popular car in America, having held the top spot for over 40 years. It's followed by the Chevrolet Silverado and the Toyota RAV4.

Top 5 Most Popular Cars in America:
  1. Ford F-Series: This lineup of pickup trucks, including the F-150, is consistently the top seller.
  2. Chevrolet Silverado: Another full-size pickup truck, Silverado is a strong competitor to the F-Series.
  3. Toyota RAV4: A popular SUV, the RAV4 is known for its reliability and fuel efficiency.
    • Honda CR-V: A compact SUV, the CR-V is another popular choice for families.
    • Toyota Camry: A mid-size sedan, the Camry is a long-standing favorite for its blend of comfort and value.

I had a 2003 silverado that I got in 2006. Loved that thing. Finally sold it about 1.5 years ago. Seeing it drive away without me in it was like watching the vet put down my dog.

During that time I also bought a used F-150. I liked it. Really likeed the side windows and how they are a little bigger with better visibillity. Gave that to one of my boys. Got a doge ram after that, and gave that to my other boy.

I finally ended up with a 2021 Dodge Ram. I like the interior layout and features much better than the Ford. Lower price point than new(er) Silverados (and I also like the interior of the Dodge). It had about 14k miles on it when i bought it and it's still under 40k , but so far, its been a really good truck. Super comfortable and great ride. Its our road tripping vehicle. I'd love to get one with the adaptive cruise control and all the safety bells and whistles (lane keeping, blind pot warning etc) but i'm enjoying not having a truck payment more.

That's exactly where I am, except a little bit older. I have a 2018 Ram 1500 that's paid off. I'd like a few more Bells and Whistles, but honestly, I like not having a payment right now more.

I have a lot of the bells and whistles on mine. Big ipad sized touch screen in the front that can go split screen so you can run your Nav app of choice and still have full radio touch screen control up at the same time. Driver and passenger usb ports in the front and two more for those in back. Has an additional small glove box in addition the normal one. Steel lock box under the center console arm rest. Great for valuables if you need to leave in your truck for some reason, but probably most use it to lock up a pistol or two when you are at work or someplace that you can't/won't carry. In floor storage in the back under the floor mats . Remote start and heated seats/steering wheel that i sure as hell don't need here in the south, but it has that too. (too bad it wasn't AC cooled seats). Got a smoking good deal on it used.

That's way more stuff that I have lol. I have the 8 inch screen, with Android auto and that's what I use the most.

One benefit of it being paid off is how much less I feel the need to baby it. It's nice to actually use it like a truck lol.

I like technology. Apple sells old tech as new.

Honestly, it's what I'm used to and all my stuff is in the Google/Android world.
The same. It's what I started with in the beginning and I've always stayed with it ....though I receive my my share of mocking from co-workers and clients. lol

The older I get it's more about what I'm used to.
Thats me. I'm the last Android phone holdout in my family (other than my 89yr old mother). I keep thinking that the next phone i get i'm going to switch to apple, but i just don't want to have to learn new tricks.

No way i'm switching to a Mac for my personal home computer. I tried using a mac a year a go or so and it drove me banannas.

I had a Apple Mac when I got to college in 1987. My first computer and an upgrade to my olivetti typewriter. Single 3.5n disk drive built into it. Every freshman got one. Cutting edge stuff when the library card catalog went online via the school intranet and you could search for books from your room before heading over to the library. Also had a bunch of printers in the basement of a building staffed by volunteer nerds so you could print out term papers. Hit print and then walk over to and your print job would be waiting for you in a bin. Personal dot matrix printers were expensive and not many people had them until a few years later. So until then, printing was free! June of 1990 was the last time I used a Mac computer and i've neer gone back.

Wonder if the combined sales of the Silverado and the GMC Sierra would top the F150. Basically the same truck, though the GMC looks better and is a touch nicer.

Have been pleased with my GMC Yukon AT4 Ultimate. I didn’t consider anything from Ford because nothing looks good imo.

At this point, most of the main truck brands are all very good. It's really just about the look you like and the personal fit.

I have had all the major brands, and honestly liked the Chevy and Dodge the most.

That said, I had a 2000 Toyota Tundra when it was new on the market and I loved that damn truck.

Yes and actually the Rav 4 just jumped to the top of the best-selling list.

I still have a 2004 F 150 with less than 60,000 miles on it

With a stretched valuation like pltr has with a price to sales ratio > 100, volatility is going to also be stretched. Not a stock to chase imho
