I guess since Al-julani can tie a tie he convinced folks this wasnt the isis caliphate 2.0. But, shit is getting very bad. If you have a weak stomach, you shouldn’t look at the first link.
Religion poisons everything.I guess since Al-julani can tie a tie he convinced folks this wasnt the isis caliphate 2.0. But, shit is getting very bad. If you have a weak stomach, you shouldn’t look at the first link.
If this is your first response to that, you’re a bigger piece of shit than I imagined.Religion poisons everything.
So you post clips of people of one religion torturing people of another religion and I’m not supposed to think that religion is a bad thing? If this is your first response to that, you’re a bigger piece of shit than I imagined.
Religion poisons everything.
Personally I think these are all fair questions and it’s interesting how people try to shame you for asking. So you post clips of people of one religion torturing people of another religion and I’m not supposed to think that religion is a bad thing?
All around the world, and throughout history, people are murdered/tortured/abused etc every day over religion. How doesn’t religion poison everything?
Except they aren’t all different religions. Alawites are Muslim too.So you post clips of people of one religion torturing people of another religion and I’m not supposed to think that religion is a bad thing?

Something happened, for certain.Have you told us the story about when the priest touched you? I can’t remember. Your contempt for religion is really something else.
That doesn’t make my point any less salient.Except they aren’t all different religions. Alawites are Muslim too.
Have you told us the story about when the priest touched you? I can’t remember. Your contempt for religion is really something else.
The fact that every time I post anything critical of religion people jump to “he must be one of the millions of people who were sexually abused in church” only further proves my point.Something happened, for certain.
I think it’s more just symptomatic of the acute self loathing, loneliness, and suffocating emptiness. That and the obesity.Have you told us the story about when the priest touched you? I can’t remember. Your contempt for religion is really something else.
Does marriage poison everything? Have husbands and wives not killed each other for things related to being married over thousands of years? Let's go a step further and add love. How many crimes have been committed bc of that one? Is it poison too?Religion poisons everything.
Non religious people kill, rape, lie, cheat, steal, molest, etc.The fact that every time I post anything critical of religion people jump to “he must be one of the millions of people who were sexually abused in church” only further proves my point.
Absolutely not.The next time we go somewhere like Iraq or Afghanistan, we should just take over the country and stay. Adding a permanent American territory would help stabilize that area. It would give a place for modern/moderate Muslims (particularly women) to go and not be persecuted as well.
Also wouldn't hurt keeping Russia and China in line either. Having to continually go to to other countries to fight wars that are not our own is not going to stop unless we just become an isolationist country. History has proven that. Having our own territory in that part of the world would either make it more infrequent, or at least make it easier from a logistical standpoint if we have to do it again.
What's the objection if we are going to spend years fighting wars there anyway?Absolutely not.
We shouldn’t do either. What's the objection if we are going to spend years fighting wars there anyway?
I don't disagree, but history says that is not going to happen. Also, I know the answer to why not have a territory there. Our laws, do not fit their culture, it just wouldn't work.We shouldn’t do either.
That’s the thing here. This is a shitshow. It’s messy. The lines are blurry at best. This isn’t legitimate conflict between armed adversaries who have both made a conscious choice to fight, though. This is barbarism and a brutal slaughter of civilians by armed men playing dress up who aren’t particularly good at killing but do seem to enjoy it.
This tears me up to see the violence and suffering of innocent people by those animals. They need to meet some swift justice. Assad is not a good person but he's not a butcher on this level. It sounds like the 3 letter agencies instigated this fiasco and it's a total disaster. That’s the thing here. This is a shitshow. It’s messy. The lines are blurry at best. Assad was just as bad. More prolific, frankly. He wasnt treated like a reformer though. New leadership has been photo-op, glad handing welcoming world leaders like he’s on a book tour circuit. He’s Al-Qaeda who traded in an AK for a suit. This was very predictable. Hope shouldn’t have been the strategy here. It’s melting down now. I’m not sure what the hell the solution is, but my guess is we’re looking at years of fighting or the Balkanization of Syria. Probably both, IWBH. At least 300,000 Syrian civilians were killed under the Assad regime over the last decade. So, I certainly hope this new regime isn’t on another level of butchery, so to speak.Assad is not a good person but he's not a butcher on this level.
How many of those were during previous uprisings? Who is financing the uprisingsAt least 300,000 Syrian civilians were killed under the Assad regime over the last decade. So, I certainly hope this new regime isn’t on another level of butchery, so to speak.
He doesn't have control over the takfiri lunatics in the country; it doesn't matter if he's changed or not.I guess since Al-julani can tie a tie he convinced folks this wasnt the isis caliphate 2.0. But, shit is getting very bad. If you have a weak stomach, you shouldn’t look at the first link.
People should look up what Assad's father did to the people of Hama in 1982. Nevertheless, I'd take the devil I know right about now.Assad was just as bad. More prolific, frankly. Probably closer to 450,000+.At least 300,000 Syrian civilians were killed under the Assad regime over the last decade. So, I certainly hope this new regime isn’t on another level of butchery, so to speak.
Uhhhh….what? How many of those were during previous uprisings? Who is financing the uprisings
Seems he's trying to find a way to twist it into the fault or out of the fault, of whoever it benefits his narrative for or against.Probably closer to 450,000+.
Uhhhh….what?
Currently have some small investment interests in Israel. Honestly, not super knowledgeable. In a previous life, I worked in civilian intel. Worked out of Western Europe and Russia. My role meant I frequently dealt with - ostensibly - NSAs based in the Middle East.@BionicTiger No heat...Just curious about your interest in the area. Do have business ties in the region? Family? You seem both knowledgeable and in-tune to the Mid-East and in particular Syria. Something I have picked up from your posts in the past.
