Expanded on a post from the in-game thread.
Cade has the heart of a warrior. Kid doesn’t give up — that’s a leader and champion our guys can follow. Two plays in the home stretch could’ve changed the outcome (missed an open Williams on the 4-and-6 at the end and didn’t follow his blockers on the goal line), but man I’m glad he’s our QB. Stoked to see him lead us again next year.
Even more stoked to see a complete overhaul on D, starting with Goodwin.
Our RB1 and RB2 were essentially out. Riley’s offense requires a competent rushing attack to be fully realized. Our Defense was inept — certainly couldn’t stop the run. And despite that, the game was winnable, folks.
In a way, it was a fitting end to the season, and hopefully to Wes’s career as our DC. Let’s get an experienced DC who eats lighting, craps thunder, and knows how to develop his players. Matt Luke already showed us the benefits of that.
We’ll be ACC champs and back in the CFP next year if so.
