The Kafka-esque inquisitions that were the hallmark of Obama-era governance will now return with a vengeance. And bloated educational bureaucracies will waste no time in investigating and disciplining students and faculty for politically incorrect speech that now runs afoul of expansive, nebulous, and shape-shifting definitions of sex-based harassment.
All of this is the continuation of the subversion of the core mission of schools and universities to seek truth and develop human knowledge, and of classical liberal values like free speech, due process, and equality under the law. This rule aims to inculcate radical change in American society. It’s bad law, bad policy, and a continuation of a broader shift from education to activism.

This is what Jon Stewart describes as the GOP distraction field. That is to say that when you're out of governing ideas, what do you do? You create an issue which is of no real consequence to anyone, to distract from the important governing issues at hand. You seek to modify the discussion to focus on issues of weaponized nonsense. Take the case of Arkansas governor, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a state which is pretty much last in every category of human existence which matters. Ms. Sanders seeks to focus the public's attention on trans females participating in women's sports, something which might happen once every 5 years in Arkansas. The discussion then takes off in a direction which distracts from real issues which affect people's lives on a nonsensical tangent which serves only the continued existence of the distraction field itself. And here we are. Every once in a while there needs to be a really smart guy like Jon Stewart to herd the lemmings back into the direction of reality and away from the cliff.

How about we keep dicks out of girls locker rooms and allow abortion exceptions for health reasons? Like 80% of the country support both of those things.
