Kid Rock responds to Bruce Springsteen trashing our President overseas.

β€œTo be in Europe talking junk about our President who gets up and works his ass off everyday for our country……to do that in Europe, what a punk move. I mean this guy’s got what $500 million - billion dollars and he’s out there playing like he’s a working class hero and really to me he just wants to be in good standing with the Hollywood Elite…”

Kid Rock can’t be bought and sold. Bruce will never be half the Patriot that Kid Rock is.

Donald J. Trump Truth Social 05.19.25 01:34 AM EST

HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT? WHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS? ISN’T THAT A MAJOR AND ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION? WHAT ABOUT BEYONCΓ‰? …AND HOW MUCH WENT TO OPRAH, AND BONO??? I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter. Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment. In addition, this was a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds. IT’S NOT LEGAL! For these unpatriotic β€œentertainers,” this was just a CORRUPT & UNLAWFUL way to capitalize on a broken system. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!

LMAO...this thread is among the funniest I've ever seen and what I consider proof positive that TDS goes both ways. There are definitely folks that hate Trump for <insert reason here>. I'm one of them. BUT
there are also folks that would let Trump do any and everything no questions asked b/c he's DONALD TRUMP.
Honestly, I've never been a huge Springsteen fan. He's OK and has some songs here and there that I like. I've never seen him in concert and never really wanted to. But overrated? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? And while we are being honest, Kid Rock isn't fit to carry Springsteen's jock and never will be... speaking of washed up and prune like... Kid Rock ain't exactly looking like a Kid himself and when exactly was the last time he was packing out stadiums as apposed to a B- list musician?.

Springsteen packed stadiums for decades. Here's what a quick google search picked up on the man:

2 Academy Award (Oscar) nominations for best original song (1 win).
7 American Music Award nominations (5 wins).
3 Emmy nominations (0 wins)
3 Golden Globe nominations (2 wins).
51 Grammy nominations (20 wins).
1 Tony nomination (1 win).

Credited with selling over 140 million albums.
Ranked No. 23 on Rolling Stone magazine's 2004 100 greatest music artists.
Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People of the Year - 2008
2009 Kennedy Center Honors Recipient.
2016 Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient

Overrated? Please.

We all know Springsteen's REAL crime. He dared to criticize Donald Trump in public and therefore must be destroyed. So carry on on how bad Springsteen is, but don't fool yourself on why you are doing it.

Didn't springsteen cheat on his wife with one of his backup singers who was a hotter, younger model and trade the old wife in for her? Shouldn't that make him a piece of shit human being that should be hated by everyone no matter what?

Kid Rock is also one of the fakest, most wannabe musicians ever. He's a rich kid from the suburbs of Detroit who has tried to be a rock musician, and when that didn't last, he realized he could peddle shitty country music to the MAGA morons.

To compare him to Springsteen is laughable, and I'm not at all a Springsteen fan.

I see it very much different. You've been a failure all your life, and now you want someone to lash out at.

By any metric anyone would use, I've been successful in life.

I'm a trained professional musician, Making fun of Kid Rock is easy, he is a minimal talent hack, who has made a living fooling people that he is talented. Actually, him being a Trump fan does track....

Man you manage an eye dr office. You need to relax. That guy makes more money in one day than you’ll make all year. You’re seriously taking success shots at kid rock posting on a TI message board. Omg. Zero self awareness.

He has made far more money in music than I have. Totally true. Doesn't mean he's talented or isn't fake.

The point of my post was that it was ridiculous to compare Springsteen to Kid Rock.

No that’s exactly what that means. He’s talented period. You may not like him and that’s pretty obvious. But his talent level is in a different universe than yours. You sound like a loser, it’s like when I hear guys talk about how LeBron sucks. I can’t stand that guy, he’s whiny but to say he’s not talented isn’t a serious statement. Same here, Kid Rock is your musical daddy, he didn’t get famous and have a 30 year career because he’s fake and untalented. You’re a hater bro.

I absolutely can judge his talent.

Making money doesn't equal talent.

My main point was that trying to compare Kid Rock to Springsteen is laughable.

To you it is. You have an opinion that you’re entitled to. Using the example I gave I think it’s laughable to compare lebron and MJ but others disagree. This is the problem with you libs. It’s your way or no way.

Comparing LeBron to MJ is at least a discussion.

Comparing Kid Rock to Springsteen is like comparing MJ to Bill Wennington.

A few things.

1. The President of the United States having a public spat with a musician is embarrassing. Similar to Kirk Herbstreet's twitter spat with a fan or a recruit or something a few years ago. Like, you should be above it.

2. Not a fan at all of Kid Rock or obviously his politics. However, he came to Littlejohn while I was a student (08 grad) and I worked for Tiger Paw Productions, in hospitality. Met a lot of cool celebrities in that job. Anyway, laid out his fur coat in his room, etc (was funny he could only be publicly seen drinking coors light due to a deal with them). Also ended up having dinner with him in the catering room (he had to lay his little cigar butt roach on the table for this) but he was genuinely nice, asked questions about our major, etc. Will also add that while I still can't stand his music and don't think he necessarily has talent as a singer or writer, he was definitely an entertainer seeing him live and I understood it a little bit more during the actual show. Even if I didn't "enjoy it" so to speak.

Bonus content: his whole crew etc rented out the theater in anderson to watch whatever was in theaters at the time afterwards. Friend of mine was a red bull rep and her crew got invited. He mooned them. Random extra with no bearing on any of this discussion.

That's cool. I have no real qualms with him as a person.

I met some really cool folks back in my Food Service Days, some awesome, some complete jackasses surprisingly. One guy who was awful with his band, and everybody else was Steve Miller of the Steve Miller band. Just a complete asshole to everyone for no reason.

I didn't work the actual show, but heard that Kelly Clarkson was a terror at that time. Was earlier on in her fame, so maybe she's chilled since, no idea.

Worst I remember was Mario. Was pissed on when he was going on (was a big show with a bunch of artists, and I think he was upset he was third to last rather than 2nd to last; Ciara was the clear headliner, and Pretty Ricky had a lot bigger hits out at the time than him). Refused to get into a black escalade, so he paid for a limo himself, wouldn't go into the hotel, etc. Side note, I picked up T-Pain from the airport for that show and he was just the nicest person, hilarious and excited to be there.

Lots of fun things in that job. Drove Ludacris to the airport, drove Colbie Callait around campus on a golf cart (took her to Fike to workout), hung out with T-Pain, Kid Rock as I mentioned, etc.

Is Trump going to go after Pearl Jam? Because those guys have been talking crap about him for years.
Its funny that Trump can shape the Maga zeitgeist so effectively. He says thing bad, and all his cultists come out to sing in the chorus, no questions asked.

I saw some sad stuff with bands that had been big, but nobody came to see them.

The worst was Blues Traveler on the lawn at LittleJohn. We had multiple Beer stations, concessions stands open, and like 5 people came. There were more people with the band than there was in the audience. Just depressing to watch.

Another was watching Creed. They had a huge stage show(for LittleJohn), and had less than 500 people there

I will admit that I'm not a huge Springsteen fan. I generally prefer people who are better singers. That said as a song writer, you have to acknowledge that Springsteen has written some classic songs that absolutely resonate with his fans.

Again, I didn't make the comparison, I was pointing out the stupidity of comparing Springsteen to Kid Rock.

Not sure why you feel that has to be defended. It should be fairly easy to say, yeah, that was dumb to compare.

Why is it so hard for the MAGAS to admit that they ever make a mistake?

There is a stark difference between the two. I will let you figure it out but you won't admit it.
