I would like everyone's opinion of this especially @Cris_Ard and @Larry_Williams but I think you might see AD's cancelling "big non conference games" that are typically scheduled in Weeks 1-3.

My reasoning is that if you see next year (you cant use just this year as a sample size) that the CFP Committee really focuses on Win/Loss Record more than the competition/SOS like they are doing this year with Indiana and Clemson, you will see schools in the SEC and Big10 wondering what the advantage is adding a big game to their gauntlets already, when at end the year, they need to shoot for a 10-2 at minimum.

If I'm wrong, then ask yourself "What is Clemson ranked right now if they had scheduled Ball State instead of UGA and was currently 10-1?"......maybe we'd still be 12 because of other teams above us but at end the of the day, the one more win and one less loss might matter more than "playing a cool game with GameDay in attendance"

I'm not saying I dont want to schedule LSU, UGA or OU or I wouldn't enjoy seeing a great regular season game instead of Wake Forest BUT my question is why would any of these teams schedule Clemson and add a possible loss to their schedule when it could cost them later in season when trying to make a bracket for 10-2 and 9-3 teams? I guess Im looking at this from more of the other conferences who week to week competition is harder than Clemson's

If the CFP is truly what matters, wont ADs make decisions in all aspects based off that?
