Alabama contacted Dabo Swinney yesterday about its coaching vacancy, Tigerillustrated.com has learned.
The Crimson Tide reached out to Swinney on Thursday to gauge his interest in replacing Nick Saban, according to a source close to the situation.
We are told the conversation did not advance further and, as of this morning, it appears Alabama AD Greg Byrne has moved the focus to other candidates.
Washington's Kalen DeBoer and Florida State's Mike Norvell have been the most prominent reported candidates to fill the vacancy in Tuscaloosa.
