Of course I am. I guess I just have more faith that the agents on the ground actually investigating it aren't sitting on clear evidence they could charge with due to a nefarious deep state or something.
I know there are powerful people out there, but I guess I have more faith than that. Certainly if it comes out they had chargeable evidence along with jurisdiction and didn't charge due to some sort of powerful person saying not to or bribing etc, I'm fine charging them the same.
I also think this is the kind of thing that would be leaked, if someone was hiding or burying these type of crimes, and a journalist somewhere would win a Pulitzer for their reporting on it.
