Let me preface this by saying i have no real sources or info and you may as well take this post as serious as an @areeves conspiracy post. But here's my "reading the tea leaves" assessment of the DC hiring process:
Blanks - lobbied for the job and his name was floated accidentally by our old friend D Rad.....hence the early smoke with this name. Blanks is on the radar but as a potential fall back option.
Santucci - expressed interest. Interviewed possibly. Not what we are looking for at this time.
Leonhard - was contacted through back channels and reciprocated interest. Obviously had to finish up season. Here's where it gets interesting- one "source" has him being the guy. Would be a HR hire but longevity with the job is a concern.
Allen- smoke. Fire. Idk. Fits what we need as LB guy. Another "source" has him being the guy. Has improved every defense he's taken on in year 1.
In my estimation, it's a 2 horse race. Amd we upgrade with either of the 2. Of course I have nothing concrete so it's possible I didn't even mention the new hire. Have a great night!
