I have no idea if @johnhugh is being truthful in his desire for others to suffer, or is just trolling, but this exact sentiment is rampant in certain parts of America. This exactly the sentiment that @cocksucker @nytigerfan claims does not exist.

There are absolutely people who hate Trump so much that they want shit to go south, just like there were people who hated Obama so much they wanted the same. Don't be naive and say that it only exists on one side. I am personally not one of those people.

That said... I do think it is interesting how Trump takes credit for everything that is good (he even often claims to have signed bills that were signed by Obama), but he will take no blame for anything bad. The buck never stops with him. And you MAGA folks also refuse to hear or admit anything critical of the supreme leader. His administration has bungled this coronavirus event completely. They are less than honest, sending mixed messages and completely unprepared to test for the virus. That plus Russia's complete domination of him that emboldened them to walk from the OPEC negotiations last week is what is causing the markets to tumble.

My sole point is there are not insignificant circles in liberal America that would love to see the market crater, and people suffer, if it meant replacing the current political party in power. It was true in 2007/2008 and it’s true again now.

Have any of y’all thought about a leveraged short index fund ETF?
My father passed away almost exactly a month ago. He had been predicting a bloodbath for the last couple of years. He talked me into the short ETF and moving my entire 401(k) to money market about 6 months ago.
At this point I’m glad I did. Only problem is that I switched to a long index ETF and went a third back in stocks in the 401 after the first week. I guess I should have placed more trust in him, but the market just kept going up and I was missing out.
He has been predicting the Dow and S&P would touch 2008 levels before it’s over with.
I wish he was still with us to see all this.

In my opinion, THIS is exactly what's wrong with our country right now. It used to be that people like Pelosi and Mitch were the outliers... party hacks who stopped giving a shit about America years ago and now live to advance their parties' cause at any price. But now congress and it seems American in general is filled with people convinced the the other side of the aisle is truly evil. That's simply not the case... they disagree. But both sides continually say that we've got to take back our country... FROM WHO? Your fellow Americans? Please. Even the most liberal and the most conservative American believes (bat shit crazyies excluded) in probably 70% of the same things... it's the methods of getting those things that differ. A great man once said: If you have a person that agrees with you 70% of the time. That person is your friend, not your enemy.

@nytigerfan the other tag was simply a response to saying I was full of sht for calling out a certain group’s ghoulishness during a national crisis. I am not politically affiliated but I do find it disgusting that ANYONE cheers on Americans suffering just for the sake of political expediency. I don’t care which side of the ledger their allegiances may be I’ll call them out equally if I encounter them. If you want to keep this going I’m happy to oblige but if not that’s ok by me also.
