First of all Trump did approve a lot of spending and there are a lot of reasons for it and I did not agree with all of Trumps decisions here. Biggest thing is covid blew up the national debt worse than could be imagined and then the interest payment on the national debt which is growing yearly along with the daily deficit state of govt operations. Each succeeding potus will rack up a higher debt than the previous just due to runaway debt and continuous deficit spending. The current state of debt is basically not fixable and that's part of why we are hearing of the great reset imo.
