Could have been called the Turberville law and I would still support it.

Dems won’t support it because their feelings will be hurt by the name although it’s blatantly obvious she insider traded. She solidly outperformed Buffet et al

Let me ask this, why name it that if you were serious?

You take an issue that should be completely bipartisan, and you try to score political points bashing the other side. Also, odd considering plenty of Republicans have been guilty of similar stuff.

This shit is why nothing gets done.

Because they hope that derping about Nancy takes the focus off of Trump's historic unpopularity.

Shit doesn't get done because y'all will get your feelings hurt over reality.

It's called the Pelosi act for the simple fact that she was the "best performer." No one was as egregious as her.

Then I propose we prosecute all election fraudsters under the 'Felonious Trump Act'

It would only not get done because someone (such as you here) gets offended.

I don’t care what its called, this needs to get passed ASAP. You could call it the dbjork6317 is a loser act and I’d support it.

Of course it is, but if letting them be childish is the only way to get legislation through that actually accomplishes something positive then so be it.
Agreed. I have very low standards for people who make up insulting nicknames for people who disagree with them. But this I would completely agree with the subject of the bill. Just honestly mourn for where we've gotten with political discourse.

This is where I am. I'd like to see this happen since it's wildly wrong, but man it's tough to see where we are with political discourse.

Nowhere for democrats to look but in the mirror. Y’all have been in charge for 12 of the last 16 years.

If anything I hope this wakes up the democrats to how big of assholes they were when they were in charge. Adam Schiff got the message last week.

They are looking in a giant mirror.

I agree I hope it can get better. But you don’t get to rule like assholes for 15 years and then play the “we are taking the high road” card.

Open to ideas on how to fix it.

Fix it by being better. Instead, you keep going with these gripe filled rants blaming everything on Dems, weirdly including crap Trump did.

You are literally making it worse, but as said earlier, you do you.

Whats sad for you is that you have bet everything, on Donald Trump. That never, literally never ends well for anyone except Donald Trump.

I have been very consistent that I don't like trolling from our elected officials period. While I don't mind pointing out people's previous statements when they come before congress, etc, I still don't love the giant posters they sometimes use to try to embarrass the person being questioned (fine with exhibits, etc, but sometimes its clearly for a gotcha). While both sides sometimes point out true things or true critiques in their social media clap back's etc, I wish they were all above it.

But it is really frustrating that you seemingly can't acknowledge Trump's role in further lowering the level of discourse. And to be clear, it didn't start with democrats with Trump, because it started when he was running against republicans in the initial primaries, not the general election against democrats. Prior to anything you want to call a hoax, prior to anything to do with laptop, etc. He made up nicknames for his opponents, insulted their wives and families, anything you can think of, he insulted it, used crass language, etc. Short of putting a muzzle on him, I'm not sure what you would have democrats do with that.

This article expects it to end badly for him. One can dream

"Corruption on this scale cannot pass unchallenged indefinitely. Avarice alone may be Trump’s undoing.

All this points to one conclusion: as a tyrant, let alone as president, Trump is actually pretty useless – and as his failures, frustrations and fantasies multiply, he will grow ever more dangerously unstable. Trump’s biggest enemy is Trump. Those who would save the US and themselves – at home and abroad – must employ all democratic means to contain, deter, defang and depose him. But right now, the best, brightest hope is that, drowning in hubris, Trump will destroy himself."

I've always said that the best strategy is "Let Trump be Trump". You give that guy a microphone and let him talk, magnify it.

His MAGA syncophants love the message, but moderates and pretty much everybody else are out of by his speech. Let them hear how unhinged and clueless he sounds. Let them hear him insult and belittle. Let them hear his inability to explain basic principles.

Trump is a legit narcissist. He needs the fawning adulation, but underneath the braggadocio is a petty little man who knows he is in waaayyyy over his head.

You have it completely backwards but keep on believing that.

Are you saying leaders can have undue influence on stocks during their time in office? How about personal companies too? Should they be able to funnel their federal monies to their personal business?

Absolutely not. Should be in a blind trust.

I’ll be honest, I have a problem with Trump coin or whatever it’s called. It should not be allowed.

Let him speak? Isn’t that what he does at his rallies and he won in overwhelming fashion?

We would agree that his best strategy is to give him a microphone. How can you say he failed when he won the presidency twice?

He appeals to his base who live him with a weird adulation.

The rest of America? We don't go to rallies or watch speeches. We don't see his off the rails rally speeches where he sounds insane.

I understand you don’t like him.

I just disagree with your assessment that giving him a microphone hurts him. His rallies were the biggest microphone and by all means they were successful.

He has a great sense of humor and knows how to entertain a crowd. You can not like him and acknowledge those things.

He knows how to entertain "his" crowd. Anyone with any class, couth, and who isn't an asshole isn't amused by him.

I'm generally not a fan of liars who cheat on their wives and cheat small business owners.

I agree with your last statement but I'm not a fan of selective reasoning either. I don't agree with your first paragraph.

So you think Donald Trump isn't an asshole?

Ask any of his former friends he ditched and left holding the bag when they were no longer useful.

He's got a very well documented history of being a monumental dick to anyone ge can use to make money. Art of the deal, should have been called Art of the Steal.
