For as long as Dabo has been the head coach he has said that the Fun is in the Winning. He has spoken many times that when Bowden was here the team would win a game and the locker room felt like they just lost. He wanted to change this so the players dance, party, celebrate and have a great time when they win.......... here's the problem Best is the Standard and dance parties for 5 point victories over Wake contradict each other.
Our team celebrates too much, TikTok's too much, talks about themselves too much and they no longer do "the little things the right way", oh and the scoreboard shows. The lack of intensity on our offensive line since Caldwell left, the lack of winning jump balls and blocking from our wide receivers since Scott left, the QB for the last 3 years rarely makes adjustments at the line of scrimmage (Cade does do better than DJ) and the linebackers are no longer coaches on the field (Boulware, Joseph, Shuey, and Skalski would have destroyed our guy's lack of awareness, attention to detail, and effort).
All that being said you rarely here us talk about the opponent and only here us talk about ourselves. We are a few plays away, we missed this or that, we didn't execute but no credit is given to Tennessee, Duke or FSU. We used to be a great team and you had to have a great team in order to compete with us; not anymore.
The fun is still in our program, but most of us aren't having fun anymore.
