I'm not sure he's properly appreciated for how much he's carried this offense of late.

Consider these stats:

Over 13 games and 179 carries last season, Phil Mafah had 34 yards in losses.

He has 35 yards in losses on 50 carries over the last four games vs. FBS.

Last year, Will Shipley was a viable option in the passing game and totaled 31 catches for 244 yards for an average of 7.9 yards per reception. And Mafah added 21 catches for 108 yards.

This year Mafah has 19 catches for 88 yards -- and six catches for 18 yards over the last five games. Jay Haynes is the only other running back with a catch (7 for 32).

And this is jarring:

If you take out sacks over the last three games vs FBS (SMU, SC, Pitt) Klubnik has totaled 25 carries for 184 yards (7.36 ypc) with longs of 50 (Pitt), 18 (SC) and 14 (SMU).

Meanwhile Mafah has rushed 50 times for 141 yards (2.82 ypc) over that stretch with longs of 14 (SC), 8 (SMU) and 6 (Pitt).
