I think college football should be played from about the first of September to about the first of December. The idea of the national championship game being played in late January is weird. College football ought to be played by college students who need time late in the first semester for exams in the fall and they need time to get begin the second semester. And college football is a team sport. The very idea of team players quitting in the midst of seasons is an anathema to every one associated with college football.

A time to be born and a time die? College football is dying. What we have now is Minor League Football played by professionals.

I loved college football and was lucky to have seen the sport in its heyday over the last 60 plus years. I wonder who will buy tickets over the next 60 years and drive all over the country to watch their favorite Minor League team play? Will the Minor League fans donate thousands of dollars for decades to support their favorite Minor League team?

Yep, I am old. I am out of step with most tv watching sport fans. I gotta say mine has been a great ride for a long time. I have loved it.
Thanks to all the college players at Clemson for so many great years of college football.
