Went to the coaches clinic this weekend. Coach Allen was the most impressive person I met from Clemson. He has a great set of core beliefs and his defense is going to be exciting to watch. I loved everything he said and I think he will leave his mark at Clemson in a big way. The way he teaches tackling is fascinating. His philosophy on playing takeaway defense is really exciting. He's also a very kind man and he genuinely cares about everyone. After spending a couple hours with him and Boulware, he was hugging the coaches and giving us his email to ask him questions. He was outstanding.
We have a terrific coaching staff. There are so many good people at Clemson. I was thoroughly impressed with everything I saw. The modernization of the strength program was fascinating as well.
As an aside, Jeff Monken from Army was there as a speaker. He was tremendous. I will pull for his team anywhere he goes. His core values and how they do things at Army were really interesting to hear about. The coaches clinic was first class from start to finish.
Last thing is that feeling was in the air there. Feels like we're about to have a season guys!
