There are approximately 19 genital surgeries a year done on post-adolescent minors and none on younger kids. Twice that many kids get shot daily but please go on pretending this is a colossal problem that we should spend half our time addressing.
48 people shot in Chicago this weekend. That was this morning so can probably add to that total. But that’s for another thread.

They're also human beings, struggling to get through this life without being constantly tortured and mocked by cruel bullies like you attacking them at every turn. How do you rationalize the amount of time and energy you put into punching down on this tiny minority of people?
So now stating facts is bullying? Get a life and grow up. It’s not a tiny minority. It’s infecting our school system and I have 9 year old child telling me about trans people at school. It needs to stop.

I'd be curious to see the data on that claim. My initial thoughts would be 1) small sample size. Its still an experimental procedure, as declared by many governments so not sure the sample size is big enough to draw accurate conclusions. 2) Those who identify as trans vs those who actually had the surgery.
Identifying as trans and having the surgery is a big difference.

Many do regret it, others don’t yet know they regret it. I can point you to a plethora of people who regret it if you want, but you will ignore them.
Children should not be indoctrinated with this garbage. They should never be mutilated. They should never be told they were born in the wrong body. They should never be given puberty blockers which they can’t consent to.
There is no such thing as a trans person. You are either a man or a woman. No surgery can change that.

So now a satirical group that's been around for 45 years, who raise millions of dollars for charity, should also be mocked in a thread about trans people? They aren't doing anything different than they've done for years, so why the sudden interest?

Many trans regret their surgery and feel like they were taken advantage of by adults.

I don't think it's a bad idea for children to wait until they're of age to make these decisions, but I also understand that it's a hell of a lot more complex than that. Each case is individual and you nor I understand all the details that lead to the tough decisions these families make with their doctors - in many cases, gender affirming care is preventing a suicide or other types of self-harm. And again, since we are talking about a tiny fraction of the population, this does not deserve the amount of attention you give it when there are hundreds of more pressing issues. Leave these families alone and focus on things that matter. This is not about you.
It deserves the amount of attention i am giving it because it affects my children. I had a great conversation with my 15 year old last night about trans and mental illness.

It was made political from the get go by the left. I wish your .0042% was all there is to it, but the insistence that the rest of the population roll with this is indeed political and part of the overall push of the progressives to fundamentally change the direction of our country. I wish you and others who think like you would stop minimizing these issues. You will soon realize it is too late.
The Left didn't have a damn thing to do with the politicization of this issue, as this was simply a ploy by right-wing extremists to focus on culture war issues they believed would help them win elections. They decided that focusing on the worst examples of this marginalized community would be their ticket to put them back in power, since they know their political agenda is so unpopular.
What you view as a push to change the direction of this country is just a backlash against the cruelty the Right is inflicting on these vulnerable "human beings" who just want to live their lives in peace. Life is hard enough without you making their lives a political football.

You are so confused. There has never been an attack on the poor trans or LGBTQIA community. this is a lie pushed by the left. The vast number of right wingers believe in live and let live. We don't care....just don't push it on us and force us to pledge an allegiance to its legitimacy. It should NEVER have become a major issue. We should be talking about the border and all the permanent problems it creates.
