Trevor speaks about the shirt

free speech is important as long as you agree with the left wing social media mob. If you don’t, then your opinion doesn’t matter and you should be tarred and feathered.

This is applicable for both parties. Even if you peacefully protest you can still get tear gassed or shot in the face with “rubber” bullets. There are videos everywhere of this, and it’s not disputable at this point

you’re right. What the police is doing to peaceful protestors exercising freedom of speech is horrific. It’s like we are in Turkey or China

Umm..... please give me an example of a situation where police interfered with a TRUE peaceful demonstration that did not turn into a riot. I will hang up and listen

IT is people like you that misrepresent the facts that are part of the problem as well

Yep, all the most shitty run cities are run by Democrats. It’s not a coincidence.
And yet, black voters continue to vote them in every election cycle...
Damndest thing I ever seen...

https://www.npr.org/2020/06/01/867532070/trumps-unannounced-church-visit-angers-church-officials

there is literally a video of a crowd standing and exercising their freedom of speech before getting tear gassed and attacked to make room for trump to go to a church where he stood in front of a church for a photo shoot. It’s easily verifiable. It happened on live TV.

He actually said "then you ain't black." Really adds nuance to it.
He also said Obama was “articulate and clean”. He knows how to spot the good ones. He’s worked with good Christian men like Sen. Robert Byrd to help bring civil rights to all.

I thought this was an interesting take from Jason Whitlock...

What have you thought of the coverage of Drew Brees’ comments that he’d never agree with anybody who disrespects the flag?

Whitlock: It’s sad. Brees has every right to feel that way about the flag and the national anthem. He’s not alone in feeling that way. Trust me, many black athletes and people share his sentiment. His belief in no way diminishes the cause of supporting justice for George Floyd. It’s nonsensical to argue that kneeling during the playing of the national anthem and the flying of the flag has absolutely nothing to do with the flag and the anthem. Athletes are addicted to growing a social media following. Drew Brees’ comments gave everyone an opportunity to use him as a tool to grow their following.

There used to be a time when you disagreed with someone’s harmless opinion and you just rolled your eyes and moved on to more important matters. That time has disappeared. We’re all now just fodder for each other’s social media outrage and righteousness. Social media is the real pandemic killing America and freedom. Social media is going to destroy football. People will applaud football’s death/fall until the moment they realize social media mobs will destroy absolutely everything we love about America.

You’re not talking about Freedom of Speech, you’re talking about the fake right to say what you want with no repercussions. That has never existed.

Alot of people think so....
It's like they have a blind spot directly in front of thier face.

Fake news

People think social media is the biggest problem with our society, but this a bigger problem. When you see evidence that does not support your preexisting views you can just dismiss it as fake news. Sad!

Look man, I don't think Dabo's shirt is a big deal. But...

I am getting a good laugh at all of the people in here talking about how sacred freedom of speech is, when you all lost your damn minds over Kapernick kneeling to protest police treatment of african americans.

He wore pig socks, and didn't even bother to vote in the last election. Guy is a hypocrite and will never play in the NFL again

I love how people try to lump freedom of speech into the right to lie and accuse with no cause and then claim freedom of speech protects them from any repercussions.

and seriously on Kapernick. Dig up the old threads. There were very few people that disagreed with his right to kneel during the Anthem. Most just said that there mat be more appropriate ways to protest and didnt agree woth how he was doing it. Ut that it was his right to do it. My biggest issue with him was how he would do that protest. Then wear the castro shirt and the pig socks. Leading me to believe he is an extremely confused individual. But most agreed with his right to protest. Oh and it all happened right after he was benched and probably out of a job. Just seemed more self serving than anything. Thank goodness he started donating money months after his protest began when he was told to.

so you didnt disagree with his right to protest, as long as he did it in a way that you approved? what is an acceptable method of protest in your opinion? please be specific.

Yep, like when a CNN reporter is standing in front of a burning building claiming these are peaceful protests.

Yep, all the most shitty run cities are run by Democrats. It’s not a coincidence.

Most big cities are run by dems, because big cities attract higher educated, higher earning people that control the world you live in. Who do you think paid for those socialist trump poor checks that you and my 94 year old grandmother got?

Yeah. This idea that people are just now getting public consequences for unpopular things they say or do is ridiculous. The white outrage is just soooo sad! My heart breaks for everyone who can't say stupid sh!t and get away with it anymore

White outrage? How do you know they are white? Seems bigoted

A LOT of truth from Mr. Whitlock.

Bravo.

Come on person. There is a big difference between approved versus disagreed with. You dont approve with Dabo not making a statement. Or do you disagree with him not making a statement.

No I do not think it was an appropriate form of protest for what he was protesting for. But it was his right to do it his way. I felt it was disrespectful to the men and women who put their lives on the line every day for our country.

he can protest however he wants. Why not a message on his eyeblack. Or on his shoes or a sticker on his helmet or set up a march or wear a shirt during a press conference or use the social media platforms that are prevalent and far reaching or pay for an add or whatever. There are a lot of ways he could have done it. Maybe he really felt like he the flag doesnt represent the america he wants like his communist murdering dictator tshirt he liked to wear did. if so. That is his right to do. But it is my right and others to disagree with him and his approach.

As a Veteran i wont defend what you say or do but I sure as hell defended your right to do and say it.

It’s gonna destroy everything. You give the crazy left an inch, and they’ll take a mile. Eventually they erode everything good. That’s why the NRA doesn’t negotiate with those idiots.

It’s both sides

I wasn’t one of those losing my mind over Kapernick, But I hope you can see the difference between Dabo wearing a shirt In private that supports youth football
And
Dabo kneeling during the national anthem in support of white lives matter and when he was asked to stop because it was a distraction for the team he refused to and kept doing it

I don’t think I need to worry about any old shirts except a “Never forgive Japan and Germany” shirt that I never wore because it was too big and is long gone. Better get the CPI sign out of the yard:)

freedom of speech is freedom of speech. You don't get to decide what is acceptable freedom of speech and what isn't.

It shouldn’t make any difference. The idea that it might to some people is the height of absurdity.
It wouldn’t matter at anytime. There’s nothing wrong with the shirt ! Period. This is insane.
