Trump Admin Includes Atlantic Reporter in Airstrike Plans Group Chat

What’s worse: Accidentally adding a journalist to your Houthi strike chat, or pushing fake intelligence to justify invading Iraq, and getting 5,000 American troops killed for nothing?

What’s worse: This Signal groupchat, or lying about making progress in Afghanistan while we spent a trillion dollars to achieve absolutely nothing, then botching the evacuation so that we lost billions in equipment and 13 American soldiers' lives?

What’s worse: A Signal chat, or letting millions of foreigners over the border, then sheltering criminals and gang members in flagrant defiance of federal law?

You are being subjected to propaganda: The people who led America into one disaster after another are trying to convince you a relatively mild embarrassment is the worst scandal ever.

The truth is almost always more complicated on this level.

Let me summarize for those new to the performance.

(1) The CIA special ops group, organized the Signal App operation. That's how Goldberg got in.

(2) Jeffrey Goldberg held the story until the day before the scheduled SSCI hearing.

(3) The SSCI uses the hearing to attack the Trump officials at the top of the critical silos.

Why?

The CIA black ops group doesn't like the Trump Ukraine and Trump Russia policy.

Watch. You'll see.

If the shoe was on the other foot we would have impeachment proceedings

Stop with the IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDING as this was really nothing more than a hiccup that needs addressing

Ignorance has most people railing about lock em up when in reality the so called mistake exposed the well oiled cabinet of the Trump Administration

MAN THESE TRUMP CABINET FOLKS ARE GREAT

LOVING THE MAGA GOLDEN AGE WE ARE HEADING TO

YOU CAN BE MISERABLE BUT ME I AM LOVING IT ALL THE WAY

The denials and lack of answers from today's hearing speak volumes. Pure incompetence from the highest levels of our government. And it goes directly to the person that hired them.

You are entitled to your opinion

I am entitled to my LOVING MAGA POWER AND THE TRUMP BEATDOWN OF TDS LIVING DEAD

The conversation between the Trump Cabinet that was exposed by the journalist shows the highest level of competence and love for America

I take them all day over anything the left, liberals, Democrats or George Doro has to offer

Stay miserable asa member of the resistence

ME I AM LOVING THE TRUMP BEATDOWN SYNDROME TBD BABY

Jeffrey Goldberg is well-known for his sensationalist spin. Here are the facts about his latest story:

1. No “war plans” were discussed.

2. No classified material was sent to the thread.

3. The White House Counsel’s Office has provided guidance on a number of different platforms for President Trump’s top officials to communicate as safely and efficiently as possible.

As the National Security Council stated, the White House is looking into how Goldberg’s number was inadvertently added to the thread.

Thanks to the strong and decisive leadership of President Trump, and everyone in the group, the Houthi strikes were successful and effective. Terrorists were killed and that’s what matters most to President Trump.

Putin made this clown wait 8 hours before seeing him. And since these geniuses were doing all of this shit on their personal phones, there's a 100% chance Putin had this idiot's phone hacked while he kept him in Moscow.

True definition of "useful idiots" on display. Mother Russia could only dream of this previously.
Are you suggesting the previous administration did not use the same form of communication?

It’s hilarious this thread is at the top for 3 days. Democrats were waiting for something they could effectively pounce on.

We are totally revamping the economy, shredding DEI, eliminating fraud, reducing inflation, Intrest rates are lower.

We are kicking ass. Yet democrats are stuck on a minor mistake that resulted in no harm.

I would have fired the offender, but I’m not the boss. I’m am perfectly fine with Trumps decision here.

Now keep being distracted by this lunacy while we continue to get shit done.

I doubt Biden was doing a lot of texting. I believe he had one of those jitterbug flip phones.

The LA Fires is currently right next to it, FTR.

What the previous administration used was exactly my question, and why I was never making definitive statements. It didn't smell right, but I have no idea what was considered standard. Now, if true the Pentagon under Hesgeth put out a memo a week prior saying not to use Signal, and they still did, and discussed all the things allegedly discussed? I would have an issue with that. If all of TG's allegations are true, and it was a setup by the Deep State? Would hate that too. So tired of all the political games. But still wouldn't change the fact it was happening.

Inflation has fluctuated to roughly the same place the last 12 months. Interest rates have also been lower at times in 2024. Not sure where any tangible fraud has been uncovered. Lots of incompetence in the firing then rehiring then firing then rehiring.

The IRS has come out and said DOGE could cost the government 500 billion in lost revenue.

Ukraine and Russia still isn’t settled.

Israel and Gaza still isn’t settled.

Canada hates us. Europe hates us.

Then you have the text group fiasco.

Looks like lots of losing.

Well if we are being honest there hasn’t been any real change from the left. They’re tying up every change the administration wants to make in court with activist judges. You’ve got chaos domestically with terrorists from only one side. The people of this country fully support these changes, that was evident in the election. What you’re seeing is a petulant Democratic Party pouting and hoping to sour any changes in hopes of winning the midterms. It’s pure politics. Biden had 4 years to work on Russia/Ukraine and Israel/palestine and instead he was chilling at the beach, this administration has been in office for ONE QUARTER of ONE YEAR, what was your expectation after 3 months? Complete utopia? We can’t even agree to get illegals out and sent home. Or that men don’t belong in a women’s restroom. At least be honest in your criticism.

I don’t think it was a set up. Could have been, but not likely. The dude made a mistake. He got lucky there were no serious repercussions like soldiers getting harmed.

If it was an honest mistake and the boss wants to give him a second chance I’m fine with that. It was a learning experience.

From everything I have read, signal was installed on the phones given to them and was used in the same exact way by the previous admin.

I get it dems wanted something to latch on to. They got it. Personally I hope they stay distracted while we get things like the below accomplished.

This is good for the country. Delivering actual results that will have an effect on the pocket of everyday people.

This admin will receive very high marks and if re election were today they would win by a wider margin.

Dems will find a leader who will focus on the American people and what the Democratic Party can accomplish for them. They have little while longer to play in the mud, but eventually they will have to talk to the American people/

How can democrats deliver for the American people?

Is now when the democrats say FIRE HEGESETH when they fired exactly NO ONE. As if they didn’t have any incompetent people? Please

Who got reprimanded after the Afghanistan withdrawal when there were Afghanis falling off of airplanes? Seems like a bigger f up than texting on signal. Both are bad.

Hmmm, guess it would have been better to release it at the time Hegseth mentioned the attack was happening in 2 hours then huh? The reporter isn’t the problem here. The only problems in this are related to the idiots in the administration.

1 - using a commercial app to discuss sensitive information (rest assured, information about dates, times, tactics, etc of an upcoming attack mission was classified). They likely “declassified” any info after the fact to say “no classified info was sent”. When you are read-on to be able to access classified info you are told you can’t talk about that anywhere.

2 - Despite the sensitive nature of the communication, seemingly nobody said “should we be discussing this on signal”. Those officials should have known it was a problem. That nobody even questioned it leads me to believe this is not a unique occurrence. If you work with that type of information you KNOW you don’t text about it.

3 - This wasn’t just “a mistake”. This event, and likely others that have occurred during this administration put people lives in danger. This is not the first case during this administration where thoughtless communication has put lives in jeopardy (remember when the names of CIA employees, including black ops, was sent via unsecured email?)

4 - The fact that a member of the press (or any other random person) was included very clearly indicates that nobody bothered to consider “need-to-know” of the members of the group. This is a fundamental thing for people dealing with classified or even CUI/FOUO information.

5 - If that had been other federal employees they would have been immediately fired and probably charged with various offenses. Because these weren’t “regular employees” nothing will happen.

Everyone saying “this is nothing” or “it was only a mistake” very clearly have never dealt with classified information. This entire episode is counter to every information security tenet. In no world should this have happened yet it did. The lack of ramifications for it and other “issues” tell me that this won’t be an isolated incident.

Texting on signal is not bad. That was what they were told to do and the app they were given to communicate. It is also what the previous administration used. If any of that is wrong, please correct me

Adding someone to the chat that wasn't supposed to be on there is a fireable offense at that level. But it doesn't have to be and Trump decided that it wasn't. Thats the way it works.

3) It was an admitted mistake

It is something. It was a mistake. It was a big deal. It should not happen again. Keep focusing on that instead of the American people.

So the cult stans are doing cult things in this thread. The Atlantic called their bluff. A where and when the bombs will drop doesn’t seem like something to include in open comms but the Trump/musk stans will come up with some garbage to deflect with. They really like blaming the messenger like their feckless leader.

I have stated before I use Signal. With my friend group. It is more secure than text. But we aren't dealing with classified info. Does that matter to you? Taking the reporter out of the equation completely.

Do you not understand the pretzel logic you’ve posted? Then why doesn’t Tulsi Gabbard disclose the full text of the chat since it’s not classified?

You (and MAGA) are hilariously dumb.
The Atlantic just released the messages. Hegseth was talking about intimate details of the strike. Also, Joe Kent, who isn’t confirmed by the Senate yet, was in there. Interesting
