Trump Administration Updates

A Republican congressman is living with a 27-year-old woman who is not his wife (he is married, wife is at home). They have an altercation, and he beats her senseless. She files charges and the police prepare to act... but then Trump's DC prosecutor refuses to authorize a warrant or prosecution on the apparent grounds that Republicans loyal to Trump are immune from criminal investigation or prosecution. Welcome to the world that Donald Trump is creating, which is remarkably similar, if not identical, to the one another Leader created in Germany following the Machtergreifung.
I looked this up. He is denying the allegations and there is an investigation going on.

BOOM!!!

BREAKING: The House just voted to pass the budget resolution backed by President Trump, which will include $4.5 TRILLION in tax cuts, such as no taxes on tips, overtime, & social security.

The final vote will be 217-216 *if all three remaining Dems vote*

This is the first major legislation victory President Trump has gotten since taking office.

Great move!!!

PRESIDENT TRUMP: "Social Security won't be touched, other than if there's fraud or something. It's going to be strengthened. Medicare, Medicaid — none of that stuff is going to be touched. If there are illegal migrants, we are going to get them out of the system"

Medicaid pays out an estimated $50 billion per year in improper payments for medical services. The Republicans in the House Budget Resolution are prioritizing eliminating this waste and fraud in Medicaid.

This does NOT cut Medicaid, the goal is to get the improper payments eliminated without hurting services. Preventing unauthorized access to Medicaid preserves the services for those who are eligible. With DOGE auditing these agencies, this will enable us to save the services for those who need them.

Oh man. President Trump didn't just suspend security clearances for Covington & Burling employees involved in Jack Smith's investigation but ordered a systemwide review for contracts with the law firm.

"I also direct the Attorney General and heads of agencies to take such actions as are necessary to terminate any engagement of Covington & Burling LLP by any agency to the maximum extent permitted by law and consistent with the memorandum that shall be issued by the Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

"I further direct the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to issue a memorandum to all agencies to review all Government contracts with Covington & Burling LLP. To the extent permitted by applicable law, heads of agencies shall align their agency funding decisions with the interests of the citizens of the United States; with the goals and priorities of my Administration as expressed in executive actions, especially Executive Order 14147 of January 20, 2025 (Ending the Weaponization of the Federal Government); and as heads of agencies deem appropriate."

JUST IN: President Trump says he is signing an emergency order to "free up forests" for more lumber production in the United States.

An influx of new, cheap lumber will drastically reduce the cost of new housing construction. LET'S GO!

"We're freeing up our forests. We're going to be able to take down trees right now. We're so restricted environmentally... We have more forests than almost anybody. We don't need anybody's trees. We don't need trees from Canada or anybody else."

This is how we'll actually solve the housing affordability crisis, NOT by sending government subsidies to anyone.
