Trump Administration Updates

.@POTUS: "For more than 124 years, the men and women of U.S. Steel have poured the molten metal and forged the tempered beams that built America's railroads, bridged mighty rivers, and raised up towering skyscrapers...

The city of Pittsburgh used to produce more steel than most entire countries... but our Steelworkers know better than anyone, decades of Washington betrayals and incompetence, and stupidity, and corruption cost this region over 100,000 steel jobs... When I came into office 8 years ago, I proclaimed a simple but crucially important principle: If you don't have steel, you don't have a country."

President Donald J. Trump’s economic agenda is working: inflation is down, income is up, and the trade deficit just fell by the largest amount on record.

Today’s economic report follows multiple robust jobs reports, below-expectation inflation reports, and a strong bump in consumer confidence.

President Trump continues to prove doomsday “experts” wrong with his America First economic agenda that’s delivering for the American people.

With One, Big, Beautiful Bill, we will protect over 7 million jobs, raise take-home pay for American families by up to $13,000 per household, and reduce taxes for working-class Americans by as much as 13%…The bill will also remove 1.4 million illegal aliens from Medicaid and protects the programs for truly needy Americans.

Why did private sector job growth fall so sharply in May?

The slowdown in private sector job creation suggests that many businesses are pulling back on hiring as economic uncertainty rises. The 37,000 jobs added in May represent the smallest monthly gain since January 2023, when similar caution was seen amid market volatility.

Economists had widely expected a more moderate gain of 110,000 jobs, especially following a weak April report that was later revised slightly upward to 60 ..

This ass-backwards administration is taking us back 100 years. Worst in history.

Trump administration accelerates purge of education, science, and historical research

In short:

  • Colleges and universities have lost billions in federal grants, with institutions like Cornell, Princeton, and Johns Hopkins forced to cut health programs and lay off researchers due to compliance demands with Trumpist ideology.
  • Major federal agencies — including the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Food and Drug Administration, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency — have seen mass layoffs and deep budget cuts, undermining efforts to study diseases, environmental hazards, and public health threats.
  • Public archives, historical exhibitions, and data on racial disparities, climate change, and gender identity are being purged, with federal funding slashed for programs labeled as promoting “woke” values.
Key quote:

“Not being able to study a problem doesn’t mean that the problem doesn’t exist. It only means that we don’t know if it exists or not, because we don’t have the relevant data.”

— Public-health professional who requested anonymity out of fear of reprisal

Why this matters:

Scientific research and reliable public data form the bedrock of effective health and environmental policy. When governments suppress data collection, eliminate oversight, and strip funding from independent researchers, they reduce the public's ability to understand and respond to threats ranging from infectious diseases to climate disasters. Federal agencies like the NIH and the U.S. EPA don't just fund academic studies — they support practical, life-saving initiatives like food safety inspections, forest fire modeling, and cancer research. Without these institutions, information dries up, and with it the tools people need to protect themselves. When political agendas dictate what can be known or taught, they also dictate what can be ignored. That has real consequences for everyone, especially those already vulnerable to systemic harm.

OMB Director Russell Vought: "Under the previous administration, government spending aggressively turned against our citizens. We saw their tax dollars used to fund cultural Marxism, the green new scam, foreign projects unaligned with Americans interests, and even our own invasion. Every agency became a tool of the left. Under President Trump, those days are over." 👏

I am pleased to announce that Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and United States Trade Representative, Ambassador Jamieson Greer, will be meeting in London on Monday, June 9, 2025, with Representatives of China, with reference to the Trade Deal. The meeting should go very well. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

It's going to cost 45 million dollars and DC estimates it will cost 60 million to repair the damage to the roads, but we must kick people off Medicaid and kills hundreds of thousands of people in other countries because it's too expensive. Doesn't sound too DOGE friendly to me.
Still love it. MAGA loves America!!!

Who is getting kicked off Medicaid that deserves to have their healthcare paid for by my family and yours?
