When a policy is widely popular, of course they'll participate. But I don't understand why they wouldn't also want to kill starving children in Africa or fire thousands of employees who research medical cures, make sure our skies are safe, have exceptional experience in national security, protect consumers in the financial marketplace etc....

Don't worry. Trump Admin will do the heavy lifting and make our air transportation system safer. Its going to take capital improvements. Just need dems in congress to support.

No i don't think you will be safer. I wouldn't fly if I were you. But if you musk fly, for god's sake pray that you get a racially dverse LGBTQ+ crew and be sure to wear two masks.
Thanks but I should be good. I've gotten three vaccines and a couple of boosters to make sure I don't catch that. And if that didn't do it I'm sure the herd immunity that we have built up here will keep me safe.

Better a transgender crew dressed in drag picked by DEI that don ‘t know how to land a plane but have been trained in how to get the plane off the ground and high like they will be and most important the entire air crew will have each speak a different language with English not allowed

This proves how serious Trump is about defeating Big Pharma. He just said he's willing to open up imports of affordable drugs from other countries just to combat Big Pharma's extortion pricing.
"If necessary, we'll investigate the drug companies, and we'll in particular investigate the countries that are doing this. And we will add it to the price that we charge them for doing business in America."

This is part of the genius of what Trump did today. By ensuring that Americans don't pay a dime more than any other country for drugs, Congress now has no reason not to make dramatic cuts to healthcare spending.
So not only are we getting lower drug prices, we might actually get closer to a balanced budget. I also believe a balanced budget might just make everyone healthier. We all get sicker when we see how fast our debt rises every second.
Support this, pretty much unequivocally. Not sure if it’ll make it through the courts though. Feels like this would be something he could get congress to legislate so it’d have more teeth?
I do love that the example he gave to support this was the story of a friend who got cheaper medicine in a country with universal health care. Of course this is a socialist policy so I guess that tracks.

You make a good point about the socialist policy.
Americans have been financing the Europeans socialized medicine. That of course has been one of Trumps gripes all along. They get fancy government benefits but don't meet their defense spending obligations. That WAS being paid for off the backs of the American Citizen and the American style of government.
Is charging $1000 for a medicine in the US but $75 dollars in Europe the result of Free Trade? Does Free trade distort the market that badly? In my opinion, no. That is a market distorted by regulation and Trumps proposal seeks to level the playing field.
Socialized medicine will have to stand on it's own. It will be interesting to see what happens 10 years from now, espescially if we can get this coded into law. Europeans are already heavily taxed and this will add to their burden. Will be interesting if they will be willing to accept the extra cost or if the make adjustments.
I’m not sure that Europe will make adjustments so much as the drug companies will. There are ways around this policy. Drug companies can use rebates, for example, to increase their prices overseas, thereby keeping their prices in the US the same. They do not have to disclose rebates they offer.
To your point, there needs to be legislation on this and it needs to be comprehensive to plug the potential holes pharma companies could exploit. I think it would also be interesting to see how congress would handle it. Dems would have really no choice but to vote for this, it feels like the battle would be between the maga Republicans and the big business Republicans. Feels like Trump could muscle enough of the corporate boot lickers to vote for this.
It will be interesting to see the long term affects of this policy.
