I think he means that Biden used tariffs in a similar way to Trump, although he didn't make it a center piece of his policy agenda meant to somehow pay for everything.

Canada provides tons of crude oil, nickel, uranium, and other important materials to the US that we can't easily produce. Please explain how it wouldn't immediately lead to a massive war
Many Canadian manufacturers (whose parent companies are often in suspect countries) have a known history of dumping in the U.S (the weak exchange rate has only exacerbated things the last 2-4 years). They are not a good player in the market
Canada has their own tariff on Chinese steel for what its worth. They absolutely are not "not a good player"
Spent November on a Viking cruise that was 90% Canadian. I think the whole village shut down so they could vacay. Whomever their travel agent was made out like a bandit.

She's anti cartel as far as I am aware. The party she's part of, Morena, is a left wing party and the president before AMLO (some have said he's the Mexican Bernie Sanders though idk how accurate that is), was also very popular. Both AMLO and Sheinbaum have massive favorable ratings. They're both anti cartel but they have been somewhat opposed to the near civil war level stuff that Calderon did with deploying the military back in the mid/late 00s.
Of course, nothing will really change until the American appetite for drugs is seriously altered

Am I crazy or could the US basically wipe all of the cartels off the face of the earth with just a few days of military intervention? Hell we could probably do it without a single boot on the ground.
Not saying that’s the right thing to do and don’t know what all the geopolitical ramifications would be, but am I crazy in thinking that we could just squash the cartels? Or would it increase cartel violence in the US? Seems like the Cartels have been very cautious not to directly harm US citizens or do anything else that would provoke US military action.
