Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday compared America under President Joe Biden to Venezuela, an extremely poor socialist South American country with hyperinflation.
"Remember during the campaign I would say, with great conviction, that if these people get into office, we will end up being 'Venezuela on Steroids,'" Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.
"Guess what, another one, of many, Trump predictions that is true, or turning out to be true! 'Trump was right about everything,' as the now well known phrase (chant) goes," he said.
More than three out of four Venezuelans live in extreme poverty, according to a study from Andres Bello Catholic University covered by Reuters.
Conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation ranked Venezuela the second worst country in the world for economic freedom, with only the Asian dictatorship of North Korea edging it out.
While the South American country is no longer experiencing hyperinflation, its bolivar currency is at 222%, Reuters reported in May.
Nonprofit watchdog Freedom House gave Venezuela a 1/40 score for political rights and a 13/60 score for civil liberties, making the socialist nation one of the most repressive countries on earth.

But if you really, truly believe that all of the problems facing the WORLD right now - inflation, supply chain issues, high gas prices, stock market corrections - are all directly happening because of Joe Biden’s policies in the last 16 months, especially when they began before he took office… then you are literally too stupid to insult.
I really don't give a sh*t about the opinions expressed in this post and if I had the chance to re-vote I would vote the same way 1000 times out of 1000. It's easy to throw stones at the person in charge during the recovery from this 100 year pandemic but if Trump had won, it would probably be worse.
At the time he left office the pandemic was at it's peak and we all know he had no vaccine distribution plan and wasn't encouraging people to get vaccinated either. There would have been many more hospitalizations and deaths, which would have led to more businesses staying closed and all the problems that went along with it. At the same time, he'd be trying to take everyone's health care away with nothing to replace it and you can forget about an infrastructure bill as well.
But beyond that, he is the most evil, corrupt politician in the history of the US and without another election to worry about, he would have terrorized his perceived enemies and probably started another Civil War. The January 6th hearings have clearly demonstrated what a monster he is and how many lives he destroyed. If he's ok with you after all that, I have no respect for your opinion.

- You do not have the receipts on Biden/Harris saying they wouldn't take the Trump vaccine because you're missing very important context. Trump was pressuring the FDA to make the vaccine available before the election, even though they weren't ready to approve it yet. That's what they were responding to. It wasn't that they didn't trust the vaccine - they didn't trust taking it before the FDA approved it due to Trump's pressure campaign.
- Blacks did have vaccine hesitancy and for good reason but the total numbers of white male Republicans was much higher. Blacks eventually lost their hesitancy but R white males did not. But their hesitancy had nothing to do with hesitancy as much as they wanted to harm Biden's presidency by not giving him the numbers he was advocating for. They wanted his rollout to fail.
