Alright folks, back for the second half, and spoiler, it was an ugly one. I am using the ACC's full game replay and incorporating video as well as screenshots.
1st drive defense
-1st and 10. 12 personnel. 1x1 under center. WR jet sweep to the right. Woodaz doesn’t respond well to the motion. Gain of 7.
-2nd and 3. 12 personnel. Pistol. 2 in-formation TEs to the field (offense’s left). 2 WR to the boundary. Quick motion by Arian Smith. Comes inside other WR, breaks down at snap. PA. Smith wide open on wheel route. Gain of 32.
-1st and 10. 11 personnel. 2x1. Clemson using an Eagle front (3 linemen inside the offensive tackles) to get a 5-2 look. Carter as edge rusher. PA straight drop. Beck throws the slot fade to the end zone. Great technique by Mickens.
-2nd and 10. 12 personnel. Under center. 2 TEs in formation to the field (offense’s left). 2 WR to the boundary. WR Jet Sweep with Dillon Bell. Woods unblocked, TEs lead/arc block. Gain of 27
-1st and Goal. 12 personnel. Shotgun. 1x1 motion into 2 in-formation TEs to the boundary (left) and 2 WRs to the field. Inside Zone. Williams washed down but Steph Green makes a monster play to blow up his double team and stop the run. Just completely threw the center to the side. Gain of 2.
-2nd and Goal. 11 Personnel. 3x1 tight bunch to the boundary. Shotgun. Fade to the field WR. Easy TD.
Yeah that was a pretty ugly opening drive. Bobo started both
