If Virginia beats VT and SMU, the games have to play out but I think we get in and this is why.
SMU has one loss and a win over Louisville but we have on loss and a win against Virginia. Virginia and Louisville have the same record.
We have 5 common opponents and this is how the other 3 games break down.
SMU has Duke. BC and Cal that are 6-10. We have NCS, Wake and VT that are 7-10. One game advantage.
SMU still has to play BC and Cal, 2 more losses. This scenario has 1 more loss for VT. This is another One game advantage for us.
Same math with Miami and their non common opponent record is 11-13 but they still have to play Syracuse giving them a loss. Probably won't work but could. We only need to jump one.
Of course if SMU has 2 losses or Miami one is much easier.
Basically pull for Virginia the rest of the way. They can knock ND out this weekend.
