Was never a big fan of Bill Maher until recently.

Maher lighting up the wokies

Liberals vs Woke.

Which way democrats?

And Maher admits he was duped about Trump by the press.

He's getting smarter and calling out the facist lefties now. He even insults Whoopie but thats an easy target like Behar.

Sincere question. Do you honestly believe he is turning over a new leaf, or is just trying to play to an audience that is no longer "woke" and liberal?

Color me skeptical. I have my doubts that someone has lived as long as he has and is just now seeing the light that has been shining in his face for decades.

Maher says says in the clip that Democratic Party left him, not the other way around.

He says he has never changed, that the Democratic Party changed.

He is correct. The question is which way do they go now that they lost?

Do they double down on highly unpopular woke? Or do they pivot to the center where Maher is?

He says he has never changed, that the Democratic Party changed. Fair argument.

Do they double down on highly unpopular woke? All the evidence I have seen shows them doubling down.

Agree except Maher is not in the center. He’s still a liberal, albeit a classical liberal and not one of these modern leftists. The country should sit somewhere between Maher and the right, with Maher representing what the left should be.

How do you feel about his argument that Trump essentially is a classic liberal?

I don’t think he is too far off.

I don’t either. He’s not a traditional republican, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Things like limiting free trade and military isolationism are very much liberal. Not to say I agree with all of his positions either though.
