The accusations are piling up for ole Watson. He was a real stick man in college, maybe he'll get wiser about what he's slinging out there... Hope he gets due process, however this goes down....

Sorry, I have a hard time believing anyone before a through investigation. Especially when the “victim” won’t even be identified. If you are so sure it happened, you shouldn’t have a problem putting your name out there.
i am not saying i believe it but i can certainly see why the victim would want to remain nameless given the nature of the accusations

It's amazing to me how multiple accusations like this all jump out in synchronization. Every single time. And the timing is always impeccably bad for whoever it is. It's happened on both sides of the political isle as well. Those on one side want due process while those on the other side want immediate condemnation. Just flip the script back and forth depending which side the defendant is on.

I disagree. If you are going to make accusations of this level, you should have some skin in the game. They are dragging his name through the mud before any type of investigation and they are remaining anonymous. The females that accused Cuomo of the sexual assault put their names and faces out for the public to see.

Also, why do they immediately go for a civil suit rather than criminal?

The stories seem awfully similar. But one thing that also seems the same from every story is that they could easily be interpreted as Watson just being creepy and sleazy, rather than having actually assaulted these women. None of them ever really say that he physically forced them to do anything, or that he threatened them with harm if they didn’t do what he wanted them to. That’s still a bad look for Watson, but it’s not a criminal look.

so you really cant see why someone who is a victim of sexual assault would want to remain nameless?

as for your last question, i dont know, could be a legal reason im not aware of or could be a baseless money grab....i dont know DW4 well enough to say for sure he is incapable of doing something like this as much as i would like to say that

I understand why they would WANT to remain nameless, I just don’t think they should be able to. False accusations are almost just as damaging as accusations that turn out to be true. Especially these days.

I agree with you, and I think being able to be anonymous encourages people to report stuff like this that really happened. However, when you’re accusing a public figure, being able to be anonymous can also encourage people to make accusations that are less than truthful because they know they won’t face scrutiny. You can go too far trying to protect people who say they’re victims.

I’m sticking with team DW4. All of you remember what happened to Brett Kavanaugh with that lying Christine Blasey Ford?
You guys should remember that it’s possible for a woman to come out of the woodwork and ruin your life and drag your family through hell with possible false allegations and there ain’t a damn thing you can do about it. And it’s vile and it sucks.

He’s been dating a porn star. Let’s stop acting like he’s infallible just because he was our QB
This. I heard he was a real womanizer in college. I mean I can’t blame him but people in denial ITT just because he was our quarterback and a great leader on the football field know nothing of his personal life

This. People are obsessed with DW4’s character but there were some strange things like this that Clemson fans ignored.

Deshaun is a nice guy but this sadly isn’t unbelievable to me based on what I know about him. This is getting really bad really fast.

Nobody gives a shit what you think, fegget. Once again, you never fail to have the dumbest take in every thread you post in. Stop posting here.

Just speculating but each of these claims are in civil court because they are reputation damaging and not criminal? Things can change but the threat of reputation damage is what appears to be driving these initial claims for money. DW should know he is a target and it appears he put himself in a situation he will have trouble getting out of without serious damage. It is after all how the world works.

OT but I knew a girl at Clemson that tried to file a criminal rape case against a person a knew. She basically had buyers remorse and decided the best thing to do was to ruin a young mans life.

Thankfully there were multiple witnesses(guys and girls) that spoke out in support of the guy. Turns out it was made up BS, there were multiple holes in her story, and he was dismissed of all charges.

I don't think she should be able to walk free from that. He would have been kicked out of college, jailed, be on the sex offenders list, and probably never lead a successful life after that if he had been found guilty. Those are very very serious accusations. She could have destroyed his entire life.

And yet she got to just walk away from it. Oh it's no big deal. I lost. oopsies......

Still pisses me off to this day. It's a HUGE deal and a serious accusation with life altering implications. If he were found guilty he would not have his current wife, kids, job, etc. It's scary to think about that one false accusation could have completely altered the course of his life.

Had the same happen to a guy I went to high school with. Lost an academic scholarship to UGA before it was all said and done, only for it to turn out the same as you friend.

That sucks. One reason I would not “date” drunk women. Who knows what they will and wont recall the next day.

While dating a porn star doesn’t equate with a lot of respect... that doesn’t make him guilty of assaulting women. That’s like saying that because a woman dresses in something that flatters/ shows off her body, she deserves to be sexually harassed. Not true.

I think he’s innocent until proven guilty. And if you don’t think that women will lie and come out of the woodwork knowing how rich he is, with dollar signs in their eyes... you are naive.

I find the situations weird, but can you charge him?

A girl was paid to get on a plane, fly to Houston, meet in a hotel room, and assumed this was just a standard little 45 minute massage... come on. She wouldn't have done all that unless she was super pumped about meeting up and seeing what happens with an extremely rich and famous athlete.

It makes DW4 look like a weirdo, but can you really charge him for assault?

One, no settlement in a criminal case. Also, (I’m no lawyer) I think the threshold for guilt is much lower in civil court.

FIFY

Like I said in the other thread, Deshaun has the resources to create a long and thorough discovery process. If there’s holes in the cases, they’ll be found. And if not, that will be clear and he will pay the price.
Not a statement of guilt or innocence, just an observation
