At this point, wearing a mask MAY keep me from infecting someone else, someone who perhaps doesn’t know of an underlying health condition that makes COVID deadly. If after all this is over it turns out that me wearing a mask made no difference, I can live with the fact that with The knowledge we had at the time, I did what I could.

Oh I am paying more attention than you know. It is clear that areas with mask requirements have a lower percentage of people getting Covid. So while they do not prevent the spread of disease, they do help slow the spread. If I need to wear a mask to possibly help someone else, I am willing to do so. The government mandates that you have to wear a seatbelt in your car, not text while driving, not drink while driving, and other health and safety matters. Those are law. Quit your bitching about temporary measures that are intended to stop the spread of what is to some people, a deadly disease. I am so sick of hearing that it is a disease with a 99% recovery rate so why is everyone so scared? If I told you that I was putting 100 kids in a room and one will die, would you let me put your kid in the room?
