WEDNESDAY UPDATE
By: Paul Strelow

Ho hum, just another week of back-to-back four-star declarations that could go in Clemson's favor.

So far.

For the last two weeks, we've told subscribers that a decision has been expected sooner than later for the top interior offensive lineman on Clemson's recruiting board: Odessa (Texas) Permian four-star Harris Sewell.

Sewell (6-3, 300), ranked No. 99 nationally by Rivals.com, was a part of Clemson's big official visit gathering the first weekend in June.

The next weekend, Sewell took an official visit to Texas A&M.

While Texas and Ohio State have also been in the picture, we have framed Sewell as a battle between the Tigers and Aggies that was coming to a head.

Sewell, now a projection to Clemson by Tigerillustrated.com, could become the program's third Rivals100 offensive line acquisition in the last four cycles.

He would represent quite the coup for first-year offensive line coach Thomas Austin, who already has gone into the Lone Star State to beat the two flagships for Austin (Texas) Vandegrift's Ian Reed.

Dabo Swinney might soon have his second version of a dandy dozen if Clemson collects a 12th commitment this month alone.

As you know, College Park (Ga.) Woodward Academy four-star defensive end A.J. Hoffler announced for Clemson on Tuesday evening.

Rome (Ga.) four-star defensive tackle Stephiylan Green, another Tigerillustrated.com projection, will reveal his college choice during a 6 p.m. ceremony today at his school, per our intel.

As for an offensive line that could pair Reed with Sewell, McDonough (Ga.) Eagle's Landing Christian Academy four-star lineman Zechariah Owens, yet another Tigerillustrated.com projection, remains on tap to announce his destination July 4.

The ball is rolling.

Clemson is rolling.
