What happened to Myrtle Beach?

Hairy ass man , disgusting but his right

Son or daughter viewing is perfectly fine. I wouldn't want them to see public fornication or pornographic scenes , but the naked human body, it a close facsimile there of , should not be illegal

I have 5 kids under 11... My house is practically a nudist colony at times...I'll be out grilling and two naked kids will run by and who knows where they took there clothes off...

I think you are correct, I can remember early '90s hearing that thong/string bikinis were banned in Myrtle

Thongs as a violation of MB city ordinances have been on the books since the 80s. You have to remember this was once the bible belt, and the family visitors is what once frequented Myrtle prior to becoming dirty myrtle. That and seeing a person naked, or close to it was not the norm. Now people have sex in public, and people may watch or walk by going on about their business. Internet porn has opened up and reduced people's expectations.
LE enforcing said ordinance occurs quite frequently if lifeguards can't get said violator to comply. Usually a ticket is last resort. Usually their behavior is what gets them in cuffs regardless of an actual physical arrest or just a ticket issued.

Probably a lovely visitor from WV.

If a community wants to prohibit public nudity, I guess they can. But it ought to be more or less like a parking ticket with about the same level of moral judgment and proclaimed disgust and offense.

Officers sees your whatever, writes a ticket and moves on. No news. No real harm. No big deal.

As far as the hysteria over kids seeing a naked adult, get over it. Kids seeing the parts we usually cover will not be adversely impacted if the adults don't go crazy and run around screaming hysterically.
Is that you, Jeff?

Early 90s I took a girl that worked at the gym i was going to down to HHI for the day. She was originally from NYC and wanted to go to HHI.

On a scale from 1 to 10 face was a 6 but that body was a 12.

We get out on the beach and she strips down to a white thong. As much as I wanted to see that on her I told her she would get arrested if she didnt change. She was flabbergasted at SC having a law that forbid thongs.

I think this girl in video was arrested under the same law that was on the books in the 90s. No thongs on beach in SC.

Side note. Went down to play golf a couple of years ago. We went out on beach after round (2pm) before coming home. Biggest bunch of fats I have ever seen. To be honest, I didnt see 6 women that I would want to see in a thong.
I live on HHI and see thongs on the regular. Hell, the life guards jack their bottoms up to flap those checks out.

Not being able to wear a thong is silly. I have 2 young girls... I’m a conservative... insert any other disclaimer I need here.

The bold part right here is what I have seen. Even the article ITT says that they were called out there for behavior problems. Unless it's an extremely rare situation, or they really are practically naked, no one is going to arrest you or write you a ticket for wearing a skimpy swim suit. It's the ones that act like trash that get in trouble. This is just from my observations btw.

But what does it say about the adult who is comfortable with being naked in front of kids?

I think the local ordinance needs to be clarified a bit. There should be an age and weight slot for wearing a thong. If a redfish has a size slot then I think we can make showing tuna only for 5'5'-5'10' 18-29 year olds between 115 and 140 lbs.

95% of the worlds beaches a string bikini is perfectly normal. Bizzare that some people are so offended by what someone else chooses to wear.
