I was reading the Oklahoma website. They are in season 2 of portal wars. There are currently 12 players on their way out. Defensive line is taking a huge hit as is the secondary (bowl practice tidbits were depressing with all the missing pieces). There is a large portal tracking thread with transfers in, offers, potential targets, and outgoing. It is like having a year's worth of recruiting packed into a month. That sucks away all the enjoyment away from a very good recruiting class with a 5* flip at the end. Take all the TI members clamoring for this transfer or that and multiply by 100.

This is an ugly cycle to be in. Oklahoma is going to stink up their bowl game with all the missing players. Eason is busy trying to piece together a defensive line from freshmen and whoever is available from other position groups. Like @Paul S has been telling us: transfers become an addiction that is difficult to break. If you go cold turkey, chances are you have huge holes that lead to a losing season.
