Why do Democrats vote against women sports rights?

Well, I'm not Democrat, I'm an independent. I don't believe trans folks that used to be men should play women's sports. That being said, it's hard for me to care much either way. I don't care much for women's sports in the first place, so whether a former dude is playing them, isn't really something I think a lot about
