Why do people think that leaving the NCAA will solve all the issues?

It is not the NCAA it is the COURTS that are causing the issues. If you breakaway and form another group you will have the same COURT mandates. The NCAA is the schools. It is not a separate entity setup by some third party to control the schools. The schools work together to determine the rules that the NCAA has tried to enforce but the COURTS have stepped in. The NCAA is like a HOA. The residents elect people on the board that establish the rules. But they can't make up rules that go against court orders. The HOA can't enforce discrimination housing because the court wouldn't allow it.

It just floors me every time someone says "that is even one more reason we should leave the NCAA".
