Everything that happened today in CFB made me think about next year. Rivalries don't matter that much in the NFL what does matter is playoffs and winning championships. If your team is undefeated or even has 1 lost at the end of the year why would you try to play well and beat your rival. Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, and Oregon all play rivals that do not have a prayer of making the CFB playoff even with 12 teams.
NIL, Transfer Portal, and now playoff expansions have ruined the game we love, oh well at least we won a few when it still mattered.
