You know, if you don’t think the US should be sending money or weapons to Ukraine, I can generally understand that argument. If you believe that US shouldn’t be involved directly in this conflict, I can generally understand that argument.
I can’t understand, for the life of me, how anyone can’t see that Russia having military success in Ukraine is a net negative for the US and our allies (former allies now, I guess) in Europe. Its also pretty obvious that the President is now just parroting Russian propaganda.

Trump’s claims about Ukraine -eg, Zelensky’s 4% approval rate, $500B US aid, Ukraine starting the war - show he is either an idiot (and susceptible to Russian misinformation) or compromised (as the President with by far the most conflicts of interest). So sad that there is some solace in believe he’s an opportunistic idiot.

Calling Zelenskyy a dictator is wild. In their constitution they have clearly said that during martial law, they won’t have an election. Also their terms are for 5 years. Their last election would have been in 2024 but obviously they are still in a conflict.

All for some territory in Ukraine that most people in the US couldn't have pointed to on a map a few years ago.
NATO (to include the US) overreached and failed to deter russia during the Obama and Biden administrations. Now here we are with a shitty situation to deal with. I don't want us to keep throwing money into the black hole nor burning through our weapons/equipment stockpiles. The cost will be to great to roll russia back. Ukraine no longer has the combat power and manpower reserves to do it with Russia shifting to an attritional strategy.
If we just stop our support a la the Biden pullout of Afghanistan, Ukraine is going to get rolled (IMHO). The best deal that ukraine can hope for at this point is a negotiated settlement. I don't give a crap what Zelensky or Ukraine wants. I don't think we need to be supporting the war any longer. We need to focus $$ on US and be preparing for a war with China. Not to fight it, but hopefully not to fight it.
