Sorry guys, I started another because the other thread is about portable table top grills.

I have a covered outdoor patio. The grill will stay out side and be subject to sideways rain, the elements, etc.. Obviously I'll put the over on it when not in use, but just giving you all some context.

I'm ok with the grill, but I'm certainly not a "grill master." Typically I'll cook steaks, burgers, chicken . . . really kind of the basic staples.

My budget is $1000 or less, and I want a gas grill.

Anybody got some good recommendations? Given my budget, do I just need to go to Lowes and pick out the best one they have?
