There was actually a 3 million 'vote total' difference from 2020 that can easily be explained by some of the 2020 voters voting for Trump and others deciding to sit out the election.

You left out a very important detail. Zelensky didn't sign the deal because it didn't come with a security guarantee. His country has already been destroyed and hundreds of thousands killed and he's supposed to sit there like a bump on a log while they spin a Kremlin based version of the war? Trump was requiring that he re-pay them five times the amount of US assistance in rare-earth minerals and he came with his hat in his hand, ready to do the deal, even though he was the victim.
