I probably wouldn't agree with Maher on much, but I don't mind listening to him because he has common sense.
I catch some of his stuff on his YouTube channel. I'd watch more if he wasn't such a potty mouth (I have kids and I don't want to give sanction to behavior I don't want them to exhibit). Anyway, he comes across as a pompous ass but that his schtick and at least he owns it. I still find plenty to take issue with, but I do find him entertaining. If you are trying to get some insight into the leftist worldview, you could do a lot worse.... although his world view probably doesn't seem so left anymore--not because Maher's moved toward the center, but because the left has flat fallen on the left side of the page.
