We had 3 OL didn’t make the trip, first play we lose the backup so we had to switch everyone around, starting LB, Starting DL and then lose freshman all American there would be no way we could win. Everyone thinking this staff can’t coach is nuts. I take this win with a grin and celebrate. No reason for negativity after this win. Hats off to this staff and team.

Even if SMU loses at UVA next week and UVA beats VT to go 5-3 and UL lose to PITT to finish 4-4, still doesn’t help. Correct?

Cause all of us are 7-1 and it goes to the same 3 way common opponent with UL being the distinction.

Seemed to always give a spark to our running game, and it at least gets Adams jr/ Hayes on the field for a few reps. Even on passing plays, let mafah sit back in pass pro and release Hayes, with his quickness into the flats for a safety valve.

Where has it been? Are coaches so eager to evolve and innovate that they forget functional concepts?

And we don’t have an AD, BOT or President with the balls to stand up to our head coach and demand changes.

Was it a jinx or brought truth to our offensive issues. Albeit, we have our share of injuries, but so do others.
Our offense is not fluid and the play calling in the 2nd half yesterday took took half the oxygen from my body. No tempo nor feel we are on the same page.... playing not to lose and almost cost us against an inferior team and 2nd string quarterback. Ugh.

Seriouz question, I hate the "we won, so shut up" mind set. Not that I don't get that winning cures and covers many issues. Who is Clemson in the SEC? Are we Ole Miss or Arkansas?

Does anyone know if this does anything for the tiebreaker with us and Miami?
If Lou loses another game and drops down the standings does that impact the tiebreaker?

- to go on the road and beat a 7-2 isn't easy...

- 4 of top 7 OL out against a type of defense like Pitt isn't easy.... will go back and watch but looked we went from trying to spread them out in the first half to a real condensed phone booth type of game in the 3rd; without the benefit of watching again... curious how much more our personnel had 2 TE's in the game the third qtr; clearly we did not adjust well

- may be in the minority but thought Drayton showed some flashes; he clearly would hit you much harder than Carter

- also thought Hofler showed some flashes today

- just a terrible effort of a tackle by Carter on the sideline late in the 4th qtr

- know at one point in the 4th qtr, we had Hanafin Venebles and Covil on the field

- thank goodness we won but just a terrible job by officials on 3 procedural type calls (the two illegal procedures and the 5 minute late roughing the passer); also thought Pitt got hosed on 2 roughing the passers

- A Terrell can be a great player but hasn't played particularly well the last two weeks

- know Mafah is hurt... but he just isn't good in pass pro;

- Need to cut down on the drops by WR

- good job by the kicking game today;

- we won a game with the following starters out.... Leigh Tate Brown; also a starter for today in Thurman out... and didn't have Capeheart Woodaz Lewis Mickins Brown; that is 7 starters out of 22 out when the game was on the line.... on the road... against a 7-2 team; yes, we have some issues... moreso philisophy than others... but a lot of you need to quit your whining... and realize that for today (and maybe today only) this team found a way with a lot going against them
